Made from naturally occurring plant and mineral extracts, this wood preservative penetrates wood fibers to provide protection from sun and water. A single application results in a long-lasting, maintenance-free surface. Will not wear off, peel or fade; treated wood develops a beautiful patina. This plant- and mineral-based formula is based on a special family recipe and has been used on marinas, houses and decking for 60 years.

Looking forward to how this products protects the raised bed in the North East climate.
product goes far
Treated 2 insect motels and 1 bird house and using only half of the mixture, there was much left over.

Good preservative for outside wood
I bought this along with the pollinator house

Since I don't have the time for beekeeping I felt that the pollinator house was a great alternative to encourage the natural pollinators and friendly garden helpers take care of my garden. It was recommended to protect the wood for longer life.
Easy to use and excellent results

This is my 2nd purchase of Eco Wood Treatment. We have used it on our raised bed wood planter in the past and now for our wooden walkways and new raised bed planter. Mixing is easy and I am now using a 2' x3' plastic container to immerse the items. We have Cape Cod grey exterior on our home so this color change blends beautifully. So far the wood is staying in excellent condition and continues to look great. I recommend it and will continue to use it on additional wood items we purchase.

About Me Midrange Shopper
We installed a raised bed garden about five years ago. We used the Gardeners Supply metal corners and untreated lumber. We applied the Eco wood treatment prior to installation. The wood turned a nice silvery gray and seemed to be holding up well. When I turned over the soil this spring I found that the wood was rotting below the soil line on the inside and pulling away from the corner brackets. I wonder if plain untreated lumber would have lasted just as long. You may not see it too well in the picture but the dark brown area where I pulled the soil back is rot. I also used Eco wood on a deck and a bridge over a stream. I may have to use a wood preservative on them now.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Wood treatment made easy

Used to treat fresh lumber that was being used in a planter

This was really easy to use (but more watery than I expected). I used it to seal a planter I build with untreated wood and the color is great. I just used it last weekend so I haven't seen what the final color will be,but so far so good. It's thin and doesn't cover up stains or marks, so make sure the wood is clean of writing, footprints, etc before applying.
