This decorative, 4’ wide trellis provides sturdy support for cucumber plants. Trellising plants encourages a big harvest of perfectly-shaped cucumbers. It also makes harvesting a breeze and helps minimize disease problems by promoting good air circulation. The lean-to design gives you room to sow salad greens under the trellis for an extra crop before your cucumbers mature.

Last year I used the curved cucumber trellises for lemon cucumbers and the midget cantaloupes. It was easier to see and pick them and they were off the ground.

Trellis is held together by cheap plastic clips and connector's. Connector's were not made right and I had to call customer service on the problem to send me more connector's. Once I had the connectors and put the trellis together I can see this design is not going to work for long. I'm probably going to have to re-engineer the trellis to keep them working for me long term. The problem with it is where they split at the half way point to make them easier to ship. Instead of splitting vertically they split horizontally, so when the weight of the full grown vines with cucumbers hanging from them and being held together by cheap clips and connectors the trellis can bend and put stress on the middle of the trellis at the connection and can cause it to come apart at this point. Especially over time when these cheap clips weather and age over time from being outside in heat, sun, rain, ect. They should of been built with a vertical split and a metal hook and clip system. I'm glad I bought these on sale and not payed full price for them, or would have been very upset. I don't know who engineer their products but I think they need to find a new guy if they want to keep customers coming back. This was my first time ordering anything thing from Gardner supply and this makes me really weary about buying anything thing else from them.

Very well made
from Waxahachie, Texas
I needed something for my cucumbers and thought I would have to make a trellis myself. When I saw this on sale, I bought it right away. It is just the right size that I need.

love the room it creates and that it's coated. It will also add some color to the yard.
Can't get it to assemble
from Las Vegas, NV
I love the look of this trellis, but I can't for the life of me get the Theo main pieces close enough together to get the plastic clips there supposed to hold it together to work. I'll probably have to use some other kind of fasteners. Duct tape or zip ties, maybe.
