Cheap, Kept falling over
from Irwin PA
Comments about : Crop Cage, 4' x 4':
I bought these to protect blueberry bushes. The year before, the deer and rabbits ate my bushes off all the way to the ground. Last year I bought new ones and put these cages over them. I needed to keep coverage over them during the winter, but unfortunately, they did not withstand the weather. The snow piled up on top of them, even though they are a fabric screen. The wind blew them over and bent all the poles. I had to pitch them all in the trash. Now the deer are free to eat my bushes. No more gardening for me.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Consruction is very good for the price. It's doing exactly what I needed...keeping those "tree rat" squirrels from devouring my cucumbers.

I'm so glad I bought this product!
from St. Louis, MO
This crop cage was easy to install and will be easy to take down for winter storage. I believe it is well made enough to last for many summers.Squirrels have been a constant in my yard, taking one bite of a tomato and tossing it aside. I watched with glee as a squirrel walked all around the crop cage, trying to figure out how to get inside, and went away disappointed!

Mine lasted 2 years - with help
By Blueberry Mom
from Albany, NY
As much as I like the design of the mesh with the zipper door, the corner connectors were completely split after 2 years. Between the 1st and second year I did a major duct-taping of the corner pieces. I also sanded the metal rods to help with insertion. Not sure what I'll do now. Not ordering another when the mesh is still working well enough. PVC?
Excellent for small bushes!

I would give this a 5 star rating, but on year two one of the zippers has fallen off. I can still open one side and the netting is still working. The thing I love most about this cage is its ease of installation and that it stores absolutely flat.

I'm using the crop cage on my deck to protect my tomato and pepper plants from critters! It was easy to set up and tall enough for the tomatoes. I wish I had purchased this years ago rather than struggling with netting.

I set this up in my backyard in order to prevent the birds from getting all of my blackberries. Easy to set up really sturdy and a much better product than I had anticipated for the price
