These compost pail liners do away with a messy job: cleaning out the compost pail. No more scrubbing, no more odor, no need to carry the pail out to the compost pile. And best of all, Kitchen Compost Bags are compostable, so you can toss the whole thing into your compost bin. If you love Bio Bags, you'll also love this Gardener's Supply version. Fits compost pails up to 12 quarts.

fit the compost crock fine, enough to hang over, sturdy enough for 4 days worth of kitchen waste, maybe even more

they make composting easier
from richmond, va
I've been using these bags for a couple of months now and they are just right: they fit the compost holder and they don't rip. They are easy to store. My only problem is that my outside composter is frozen shut. But that's not the bags' fault.

Gave both the 5 1/2" Kitchen Crock Filters as well as the Kitchen Compost Bags to a friend for XMAS 2017 who already had a Compost Crock and had been looking for these other items. She was delighted.

These new bags that gardeners supply is making themselves now are an inferior quality to the previous ones they sold. They ripped justify pulling them off of the role. Do not buy these bags!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have used these bags for a couple years now and really like the convenience of just throwing the whole thing on our compost pile. I tend to put them inside a plastic produce bag just in case they leak a little if I take too many days to get it to the compost pile, but they stay moisture tight for quite a few days if you don't put a lot of liquid waste in them.

Helps make cleaning inside the crock easier. I leave bag in crock when carrying outside becauses liquids do leak to bottom of container.

We use these bags in our kitchen composter. Never fail, strong enough to carry right out to composter if necessary. I bought kitchen compost containers last year for gifts and put these bags in stockings this year.

The Perfect gift for sadomasochists and evil Dictators. These bags, yes they come on a roll, the rest is questionable. If your into waterboarding, a practicing therapist or just haven't seen enough emotional breakdowns, I recommend, watching a grown man as he tries to take a bag off the roll and insert it into the container.I'm a Veteran and feel like I can deal with most thingsButI may have met my match in this ProductThe first problem are the bags, they are weaker and somehow thinner than a single square of the cheapest toilet paper...how is that even possible?- I ripped the first one in half just casually pulling it off the roll.-The second one I tried laying the roll on the counter to flatten it, I pulled slowly and watched as it tore in two places.- On the third torture bag, I decided to try the old yank the table cloth from under the China trick...I watched in horror as not only did this bag rip down the center but it tore clean through the unused bag above it as well.It was then I realized what I was up against, a torture device from the future. So I changed tactics and threatened the next bag, it came off the roll in one piece, finally..I had wonOr had I..It was then I discovered the next problem, it's the bags.As I tried to open the bag to insert it into the receptacle It ripped down the side seam...*intermission for cursing, walking around the kitchen, flapping my arms like a chicken and consulting the Oracle, Our cat Hermes.I retrieved another one of the torture bags and tried again.I Pleaded with it, I cried a little, told the torture bag my birthday was coming up.It opened, God have mercy it opened.I carefully, slowly... Placed the torture bag into its tin Shangri la.I had it, it was done.Later, I went to dump some compost Into the torture bin, as I Removed the lid, the hell bag fractured and exploded scattering bits of my sanity all over the counter.I've known 2 year olds that could hold moreCthulu bags of madness
These are the best compost bags ever.

I tried another brand and came back to these because they truly are compostable.
