The Gardener's Supply Compost Tumbler has a smart design and high-quality materials which make this new compost tumbler super effective and easy to use. Just fill it up with garden refuse and kitchen scraps, slide the door closed and give it a turn every couple days. The built-in hand-holds provide easy leverage; a stabilizing inner crossbar helps breaks up compost during turning; black color absorbs heat. Rodent-proof design keeps pests out.

Comments about : Compost Tumbler:
So much easier than our stacking composter (and no vermin to fight off). Perfect for kitchen scraps and transfer to the garden.

I found a location outside my kitchen door for my compost tumbler. My husband assembled the tumbler and had to start over with the legs-instructions were not terribly clear. Here in the SW, we have somewhat of a dry climate, hence, I've taped all openings closed. So when I empty my press of coffee grounds I fill the press with water and dump it all in the tumbler. The tumbler is heavy with material and I find it a bit difficult to rotate it. No type of handle came with the compost tumbler.

Urban Gardener is Impressed

Love my rotating composter. I shopped around and found and found the best product for the best price at Gardeners Supply! It arrived on time and was so easy to set up. Lightweight and when filled with compost very easy to rotate. I can't wait for my first batch of organic compost!

This composter is an excellent supplement to a similarly sized composter I already had. Together they handle most of my yard waste and half of my kitchen scraps. Material seems to be processed pretty quickly for continual use.

A great tumbler!
from Corona, CA
I love both of mine. One of their reviewers suggested using this along with the smaller two chambered YIMBY and it was great advice. Both work fast, but this one is bigger. My Kitchen waste and yard trimmings fill and go through the YIMBY's two chambers fast and I finish them in this one, It's hot, fast and easy to turn. The entire black unit comes in one piece! It's not an erector set. All you have to assemble is the stand and a few screws and nuts. With a !/4" wrench and a screw driver you should have it up in running in an hour- by yourself! I couldn't be happier.

easy compact tumbler composter
I located this at back of my yard. I'm used to using stationery type of bin composter. This is my first time using this kind of model. It was easy to assemble, however I forgot the inside rod, so had to partially disassemble and that's when it bent slightly, not a big deal, but wish it was a stronger metal. It's easy to turn, just note it takes some strength as it gets fuller.
A bigger great tumbler!
I started with the two section YIMBY. I bought here and it's great but not big enough to handle the load of both our kitchen and garden waste. The price on this one was great too. It arrived sooner than expected and the assembly instructions were excellent. It wasn't an erector set to put together. I assembled it all by myself in less than an hour and the hardware is good old American SAE. It's made in Canada, not China and all you need to put it together is a screw driver, a tape measure and a 1/4" inch wrench. It couldn't be easier and I couldn't be happier.

best compost tumbler I ever have
By green thumb
This is a very good compost tumbler.I just hope the stand would be made of a stronger materials.

I haven't taken this item out of the box yet, but I have another just like it I've used for many years. It makes great compost quickly. My only complaint is that it is difficult to get the finished compost out. The opening is too close to the ground to dump directly into a wheelbarrow or cart. You need to shovel the compost out one shovelful at a time.
