Collect kitchen scraps and foil annoying fruit flies! This matching set includes one Stoneware Compost Crock and one Fruit Fly Trivet Trap.
This crock is a convenient way to collect kitchen scraps, and it's so attractive you can keep it right on the kitchen counter. An activated charcoal filter in the lid traps odors, and it’s dishwasher-safe, too. Made of glazed ceramic, the crock comes with one 4-1/2" filter that lasts up to two months. Generous one-gallon capacity.
Place this Trivet Trap under the crock, and only you will know that it’s hard at work catching fruit flies — without taking up additional counter space. Simply mix and pour the lure into the trap. Fruit flies enter through a hole in the bottom and can’t escape. Dump and replace with fresh lure every two weeks. May also be used under fruit bowls and ripening produce. Includes three nontoxic lures; additional lures sold separately.

I've been looking at this compost pail for months now, and just so happened to find it on sale! Very attractive and not an eyesore on the counter. Not too sure how the fruit fly trap is working, I still see them around but maybe less than normal...The first filter pretty much fell apart within 2 weeks, supposed to be 6 months..?? Looking for a better replacement.I do not use the bags, instead empty 2-3 times a week...I have not noticed any "odor".Overall, would recommend this pail!!

A 50% success
By Cape Judy

The pottery is a lovely addition to the kitchen counter albeit a bit heavy. The fruitfly catcher does not work particularly well and I would not buy this product again. So it was a 50% successful buy.
THIS CAN SIT BESIDE MY SINK AND MAKES DISPOSING OF ITEMS TO LARGE FOR THE DISPOSAL VERY EASY AND CONVENIENT. I USE THE BAGS; IT SITS ON THE FLY TRAP AND HAS MADE SUMMER MONTHS IN MY KITCHEN SO MUCH NICER. THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT.
Nice Looking, Functional, & good size

We have placed this on the counter top. Size is just right. Holds enough, so emptying is not too frequent, but is not so large that it takes up too much room. Looks are nice so it blends in with kitchen decor. The wire handle seems plenty stiff, so maybe it has been beefed up over what might have been supplied in the past. Absolutely no problems with odors. Haven't yet put in the fruit fly bait, so cannot comment on its effectiveness yet.
