Our superior-quality English capillary matting draws up water like a sponge, then slowly transfers it to your plants from the bottom up. Healthy root growth is encouraged without danger of over-watering. Simply put one end in water and place the rest under your pots. Fits beautifully in our Jumbo Boot Tray

About Me Master Gardener
I used this to line seedling trays this year. In the past I had trouble with damping off and the ridges in the bottoms of plastic trays holding seed packs made for inconsistent watering. This year I lined the bottoms of trays with this mat and my cell packs seemed to be more uniformly moist when I watered. Much better seedling germination and survival.
I line all of my planters and baskets with this matting. It keeps the roots moist and prevents them from drying out in between watering.
Easy to use.

Great product maybe needs a cleaning alternative solution or idea to be able to reuse.
much more efficient than other mats

Good product. I bought it to replace older mats from grow systems. Works great. Would have been better if dimensions fit the standard trays better.

Damp is a good thing

I needed to set up a self watering seed starting system for 4 flats of tomatoes. The capillary matting was much less expensive that having to buy four seed starter kits with self watering mats. The capillary matting let me use the equipment I already have and to modify it to suit my needs. The matting hits all my major needs on cost, functionality, flexibility, and durability.
