This heavy-duty, 7-ounce burlap will protect your valuable landscape plantings from harsh winter weather. It allows your plants to breathe freely and shields them from winter wind and sun, heavy snow, ice and salt damage.

We have two small boxwoods out in front of our house. They took a beating from snow last Winter. We decided this year to try and protect them somewhat, and bought the roll of burlap. We have both of them wrapped, and hope and trust it will do the job.

About Me Avid Gardener
This is a better quality burlap than what I've previously bought in stores. And it's also a generous sized roll. I used it to wrap some shrubs that took a real beating last winter and I almost lost them then. They're too close to the house and/or too tall to use shrub covers. I hammered in a few wood stakes to attach the burlap to with staples. we've had some harsh wind and an ice storm. So far so good.

Will buy this every year

I use this mainly to wrap sensitive fruit trees here in Florida. I also now use the burlap as a sun shade over sections of garden. In Florida the sun is hot and tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and peas need some shade. These last year burnt up from the heat. I will be using grommits on burlap along with rope to fasten it to frame over garden. Also the burlap is thin enough to let rain soak through and the sprinklers too.

Gardener's Supply Rolled Burlap Is Great

I have azeleas at the edge of my propterty which the deer love to "graze" on in the dead of winter. By wrapping them in burlap, I eliminate the problem in one step instead of trying to spray frequently with foul smelling deterent spray in subfreezing weather.

I wrapped our grapevines and my honeysuckle and climbing rose, hoping to protect them from what is predicted to be a bad winter. Will know better how it worked next spring. If it does, will be willing to recommend.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

SEEMS LIKE THE MATERIAL I EXPECTED

About Me Practical
The burlap was used to wrap plants for the Winter months to keep the buds on them instead of feeding the deer. It's an old fashion answer to the problem and it works.
