The perfect match for today’s sleek, modern kitchen, this pail is also extremely practical. Stainless steel won’t take on the odors or colors of onions, garlic and other pungent food scraps. It easily rinses clean and is dishwasher-safe, too.

Comments about : Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:
We love that you don't need a liner or filter with this model. No odors escape unless you lift the lid. Cleans up easily and beautifully.

well made and convenient to use.

I use grocery bags as liners but may try biodegradible ones next so I don't have a messy bag to dispose of.

Would not buy this product again.

Rated as stainless steel, as a compost pail lined with plastic (shopping) bags, rust appeared around the lid within a couple weeks. A bit small for a weeks worth of scraps before emptying into the composter. Slightly larger and galvanized might be a better option.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Yes, this my second purchase of one!
I use it on my kitchen counter to collect things to compost—no odor and easy to clean! The handle makes carrying easy.

This pail is perfect! The stainless steel matches our appliances so it sits on our counter. No need to hide this under the sink! There are no leaking odors, it is quickly washed out after emptying and it holds more that the ceramic pot we had. The knob on the lid was on crooked and it broke off after a few weeks of use. I glued it back on but notified the company and they quickly sent a replacement lid.
I Would buy this compost pail again!

I use this pail to collect our compost material in the kitchen. It is a perfect size for us and it cleans up very nicely.

I like the pail, the lid fits well, it looks okay sitting on my counter........ BUT I noticed some rust on the lid today, in the depression around the knob. Granted, I have it sitting next to the sink, so there is moisture nearby. Also, I lift the lid with wet hands quite often, and don't bother to dry it off. It's made for food scraps, though, so it should be expected that it would be exposed to moisture. It should be able to handle it without rusting. A big part of the appeal of stainless steel is that it is not supposed to rust, so it is disappointing to see rust in only a few weeks.

Not what I was hoping for
By Crazy Goat Lady
I bought this stainless steel compost bucket for #1 a lid with no holes to keep out fruit flies but the lid is bent and doesn't fit snuggly. #2 I was hoping for durability but the bottom of the pail showed signs of rusting after the 3rd compost dump. The rust marks are getting larger. I thought stainless steel wasn't supposed to rust!
Practical and not an eye sore

My grandmother has one in her kitchen and then gifted one to my mother. I liked it so much growing up that my kitchen also needed one!
