You can’t beat a skort for freedom of movement and flattering style, whether you’re watering thirsty plants, shopping at the farmer's market or walking a frisky pup. Our skort has built-in, breathable Air Mesh shorts to keep you covered, and crisp box pleats that give you room to move. We named it Best Buds because that’s what you’ll call it the very first time you slip it on. It's made with light-but-sturdy cotton fabric that's been brushed to a peach-fuzz finish. Front patch pockets and zippered cell phone pocket. Falls approximately 2" above the knee. The waist is cut a tad higher in back (yet flatteringly lower in front) for coverage as you crouch and is lined with moisture-wicking fabric. A touch of elastic in back waistband provides fit without bunching, and a drawstring lets you customize the fit.

Comfortable. I was reluctant to wear them as I haven't worn skorts in years. A nice length and very comfortable. Took this on a recent trip to Costa Rica. It was great for days when we did light hiking and lots of bus travel. I plan to invest in another pair or two for next season.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Getting close to ideal
By Island doc
from Brown Island WA
I live on an island and am constantly in and out of boats. Skirts have a tendency to fly up when speeding along, or leaning over to tie up at docks. The same can be said for gardening activities. I often want the freedom skirts enable, but am nervous about bending over to garden in them. This skort is great for either activity. It comes in colors that are forgiving of the unavoidable grubbiness of docks and gardens, and cleans well. It also is longer than most skorts out there, which I greatly appreciate, since I frequently need to look presentable once I get to town. The two shortcomings that bother me are the lack of a left handed zipper pocket (useful for phones) and that the shorts ride up inside the skirt. I wish there were a fabric that could function as a thin shorts but stayed where it was supposed to.

Best Bud Garden Skort disappointing
from Chicago area, IL
The attached shorts are nylon mesh similar to the lining of boys' swim trunks. I avoid nylon next to my skin for a variety of reasons so have not even tried to wear these. I'll wait for less humid weather and see if I can tolerate them. I'd replace the nylon with light-weight cotton knit if I had the time.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
It runs big!
By Garden geek

The fabric color of the shorts needs to match the fabric color of the skirt. I don't want it to seem like I have on underwear if the shorts show. I wear an 8, but it was too large in the waist. I did keep it, though. I can take up the waist with the ties and with a belt. The ties need to be placed closer to the center of the skirt (closer to the snap) so you don't have a gap in the front after you tie it up. It looks ok tied tighter and wearing a belt to hold it up. I should have ordered a 6. This is not my only skort. I really like the comfort and look of a skort.
My third GS skort!
from Ann Arbor, MI
Wear this everywhere; bought two for myself and one for my daughter. It's a good length - most are too short for women my age (60s). Only issue is that they run a little large (very comfortable fit)so I wear both the 10 I ordered first and then the 8 when the 10 is in the wash! Love this skort!
Garden Skort-Go Everywhere Skort
from Taft, TN
This little skort can go everywhere! I have worn it in the garden, at the beach, to the grocery store, and out running errands. Even in the summer heat, it feels cool, comfortable, and light weight. Amazing that it looks good too!
I Absolutely Love this Skort!
from South Jersey
I Love this Skort! It is so comfortable. I just came back from walking all day at Universal Studios and I was very comfortable in this skort. I wish they had more colors so I could buy more skorts. It is also very easy to care for. I spilled coffee on my skort and just wiped it off and it was dry in 10 minutes with no stain. Love It!

GREAT product, but sizing wrong
from Des Moines, Iowa
PRO: "Extremely comfortable" says this muffin-top mother. The fabric is obviously very durable, yet also very soft to the touch. Underneath, the "shorts" are a soft, stretchy, net that feels great on the thighs, and will obviously reduce thigh-chafe. Nice deep pockets. They are absolutely deliciously comfortable! It doesn't get better than this! CON: The sizing chart told me I needed an 18, which they were out of. So I tried a 16, which were so large I could pull them off without unsnapping them. Ultimately I ordered a 14, which are terrific. Not tight at all. I usually wear a 14 or 16, so when in doubt, order the smallest size!! PRO: Gardeners Supply was very flexible, and offered a prepaid return label, since the sizing chart is incorrect. As usual, they were very helpful and understanding.

I really like the comfortable fabrics used, both the skirt and the mesh shorts. Soft, yet durable. Can be worn to work outside in or running errands.
I love my Skort
By Natalia of Whole Earth Pets
from Bakersfield, CA
I own a pet services business in Bakersfield CA, where the "summer" starts poking its 90-100 degrees into Spring and hangs out until Fall, so I needed something professional looking and comfortable with plenty of pockets. I love this skort. It is cool and practical. And I can move around, bend over, squat, and sit with confidence. I only wish it came in more colors.
