Not so happy with this product

About Me Do-It-Yourself
I could see lady bugs - they arrived alive. All else - couldn't see ALSO packages werenot marked as to content (other bugs) andpackage had been in transit for a week.Ice packs were very warm upon arrival. An "audit"of you supplier is kindly suggested. My applicator was not shipped until afterarrival of bugs - ? - I had to hand applyaccording to directions and expected lifeexpectancy of bugs.Customer service - was friendly BUT did not indicate that they would check into it. IfI were the owner, I'd be all over this issue with my supplier.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: We are so sorry to hear about this reviewer's experience! Unfortunately, we were unable to find the original order with the information that was provided. We stand behind our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on every product. In this case we would reship the bugs at the grower's expense, so they will look into the issue.

Hard to judge effectiveness, but my garden looks good
from Boston, MA
I have a 200+ square foot home garden, and this pack provided good coverage. I do wish that I could have bought the components separately.Careful, the ladybugs like to crawl and will happily crawl on the gardener dispensing them. We had about a week of above-average numbers of ladybugs, but I haven't seen any in at least a month. The lacewing eggs come loose, and it can hard to find places that are shaded/protected from the rain but on top of leaves of affected plants. We did see some of the hatchlings, though.Nematodes . . . I really can't say. I haven't seen any of the things they're supposed to prevent, but that was true before we applied them, too.My garden is doing well, though. (Except for squash borers. We do have those.) And we don't have aphids anymore.

great product, but definitely read the directions
By Justine P.
it was fun releasing the lady bugs but many were dead upon arrival as it was super hot out when they were delivered ... definitely have to pop them in the fridge as soon as you receive them. the ladybugs ate like crazy for the first day or two but flew off after a few days as we didn't really have an option for keeping them from flying away. the lacewing eggs were so tiny it was hard to tell if we were releasing them properly, however we've seen many in the garden so I guess they hatched ok. the beneficial nematodes are easy to apply using a watering can. we've used them in the past & im happy with the results so far.
not sure this worked.
from st louis
Cannot report on the nematodes, but I put them in the soil as directed.I released the ladybugs and the lacewings as directed and covered the beds for a few days. The ladybugs stuck around for a while, but I see hardly any around any more. I had an infestation of mites and aphids in one garlic bed, and this is where I put a lot of the ladybugs. It seemed to get better, but now the infestation is worse than ever, so I do not think that the ladybugs helped. I resumed using neem extract spray to keep them down after not seeing any more ladybugs. The mites also spread to the garlic I had in other beds in the yard.I have never seen a lacewing anywhere in the garden, so I am wondering if the eggs or pupae were dead on arrival or were eaten by something else after I put them in the garden.I am disappointed in this product and thought I would get better results after investing the money and time in this.
good product, good company, too many emails

hard to work with nature - rain, wind, cold temps, hot temps, but watch weather reports and hopefully reports are accurate so you can put stuff out in between the harsh elements, in Connecticut, northeast weather

Ladybugs arrived alive and kicking
By SD Gardener

The package arrived as scheduled with all ladybugs alive. Put into greenhouse in evening after watering plants and they just made themselves at home.

The Ladybugs and Nematodes came with instructions and were exactly what I expected. The Lacewings had no instructions whatsoever and were nothing more than a very small bag of misc debris. When I called, I was told to put them out in a bowl in a dry place and wait for them to hatch. I did this, but after many weeks, nothing happened.
