Just when bats are finally being recognized as nature's most effective insect control, they are losing their natural habitat. In fact, the little brown bat is an endangered species. This attractive house is designed by folks who really understand these gentle, misunderstood mammals. It has features not found on plain "bat boxes:" thick pine walls for insulation, screen for easy climbing, and an "echolocation" slot that guides them home.

I like all the items I have purchased from Gardeners. I gave the bat house to my daughter and she hasn't put it up yet but is looking forward to using it.

The wood quality and structure are excellent. We look forward to eliminating our mosquito population a natural way and hope to encourage the bat population.

an okay bat house.
My degree is based in this general field and I have done a huge amount of research on what it takes to make a good bat house. I would say this one is decent. There is some information missing or misleading customers on a few details but over all its pretty accurate. It is JUST a bachelor pad, but if you really want to help bats out, you need to get a larger, multi chambered house.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

For your backyard bat cave

Unique Christmas gift, but practical. My son has a problem with mosquitos in his yard. Hopefully the bats will move into the "Bat-House" and have their fill of mosquitos for dinner. My son also has 2 little ones who love science; they will find bat-watching exciting and fun.
