Anvil-style pruners cut through dry, tough wood up to 5/8" in diameter with less effort or hand strength than bypass pruners, making them a garden shed essential. The double-bevel cutting blade cuts like a knife through wood, applying even pressure on both sides until it hits the flat lower jaw. A rubber shock absorber minimizes stress to hand and wrist, and a toothed center nut allows you to easily align the cutting edge. Includes a plastic holster for safely carrying and storing.

I really like these clippers. Excellent quality and something my small hands could use.

Never! Take it off the internet
I bought this pruner thinking it would be great for smaller hands. All true except it does not have a sharp cut. And, the little spring that opens and closes it popped out on first use. I called and GS sent me a replacement. Not good! Same problem. You have a great site and are respected in the gardening community but this product should be scratched...permanently!

This is a quality pair of pruners. I have small hands and could still manage these with ease. Very sturdy and made with quality materials.
Unable to use due to packaging
from Renton, WA
The plastic sheath that covers the cutting head has a screw that we have not been able to remove. I am sure when we are able to get it off we will put it to good use.
Merchant response: We're sorry for the packaging challenge with your Anvil Pruners (#8588420), but glad we could resolve the issue together. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback! We guarantee our products 100% and are happy to stand behind that promise.
Terrific for weak or arthritic hands!
from Duluth, MN
I have several trees that I trim and need to break up the pruned branches so the trash can be haluled away - my hands aren't too strong, so this gives me leverage to do so.

Not as powerful as I thought it would be.
