About Me Budget Shopper
The friends who received the gift were thrilled with the amaryllis and it buds thought the picture they sent me the flower seems to have less white striations than the picture from the catalogue.

I bought this Amaryllis...but the bulb was shipped in a box with no consideration that it might sit outside. mailman was 3 hrs early. and my bulb sat in the cold for 4 hrs.on my porch! This plant hasn't given me any indication that it will grow!! Time will tell...I do have (2) two Green Thumbs!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I look forward to growing more of different colors.

Less expensive, easier to grow, pre-potted versions of Amaryllis are available elsewhere. One has to buy planting mix and a pot in addition to expensive bulb.
Packaging was damaged.
