Not what I expected
By M the orchardist

I returned the product because it is not organized in a way that permits comparisons between what happened on a given date over a 5-year period; moreover, the journal could not be adapted to that purpose. I am perplexed by its catalogue description as a "five-year garden journal."
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

A Lovely Gift
from Buffalo, NY
This was a lovely journal with many useful functions and recording options. The person receiving was thrilled, as she and I are both Rose Society members and would use it completely. I wish I could have gotton one for myself too, it's a little expensive, but well worth it.
Gardener's Five Year Journal

I love the size as it is easy to carry with you to a garden center with your notes in it to purchase new plants or replace plants that have died. Also as you shop and look it is with you to make notes in it for purchases or prospective purchases, etc. You also have notes on your garden with you where you can look for specific plants for hard to please areas of your garden, such as spots that stay damp or wet, very dry areas, etc.

Place to write down weather conditions, plants and seeds planted by date, brand of seeds and plant varieties, and how the plant grew and the end products. A place to write down plant/tree/shrub date planted and how it grew over 5 years.
Attractive journal option

My old garden journal got lost in a move, so I purchased this one to start over. I like it a lot - it has a lot of pages and is set up to give you flexibility for using it. The little tips and checklists throughout as well as the seed envelope in back are convenient features.

Lovely way to keep my garden records
By The forgetful gardener
from Manahawkin, NJ
A beautiful book, no more scraps of paper to keep for gardening info; or half empty seed packets so I'll remember what I planted or where they were planted because of the graph pages throughout the book to sketch your plots and record seed information on them. Everything entered will serve as a reminder or plant an idea for the next gardening year. Journal also offers wonderful reminders for what needs to be done in the garden throughout the seasons offering beautiful ideas along the way.
