This extra-deep, self-watering planter is ideal for big plants like tomatoes, and even root crops like carrots and beets. Best of all, it's self-watering; fill the reservoir and water is delivered to the plants as they need it. Includes a built-in overflow to prevent overwatering. Heavy-duty casters let you roll it into a sunny spot, then out of the way if you need to.

My husband uses one for tomatoes and I use one for flowers on our patio. Can't rave enough about the self-watering feature!

My sister is able to finally garden
By Ken's wife
from NH but the gift went to western NY
My sister recieved a type of flower in a bouquet that she fell in love with. She has a large patio but was alway resistant to growing flowers because she works all day and didn't want to dig up her yard. When we saw how much she liked her flowers we bought this planter and 2 bags of the self watering planter soil mix and perenials that matched that flower type and color. She did her own planting and has now caught the gardening bug! She has a lovely garden on her patio- and looking forward to more. Butterflie are everywhere around these flowers and she is enchanted. She will be back to buy more of these. The wheels are wonderful because she loves to be able to move her garden when she needs to. Thank you so much. Wonderful product
A great self-watering planter
from Hillsborough, NJ
My favorite thing about this product is an overflow port to keep the planter from drowning the plants if it rains for several days. I have a few other self-watering planters that are great on dry days, but function as buckets during the rainy season. These planters keep the soil from becoming oversaturated.

Best planters we have used.
from Montauk NY
Plant our herbs/tomatoes on the deck. We have easy access plus because of the wheels we can move the boxes if needed. This was the third planter we purchased. We had two and one was taken. Because we were happy with the planter we purchased one to replace that one.

This pot is larger than I expected, which for me was a good thing - A good value for the cost. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the opening to the water reservoir is a bit small and does not have a door. Like some other reviewers, I put a piece of duct tape on it to keep the frogs and bugs out, but it would have been nice if they included a door similar to the door on the tomato Success Kit reservoir. Otherwise it seems very well made and sturdy.
very, very handy
from Grand Rapids, MI
When it arrived, it did not have a cage. On reading the description again, it did not include the cage. So that was my mistake. But I purchased tomato towers inexpensively and am using those with my 2 tomato plants. I am very happy with the planter. It rolls easily which allows me to place it in the sun all day. I haven't had to fill the reservoir yet because it has rained a lot. So far, I love it! I will probably order another next year.
Not what I was hoping for...

The bummer here is that it does not use a wicking process, but shows that the roots of your plant are supposed to get into the water supply. This might be okay for flowers, but roots into water supplies makes veggies taste bland.

ITHIS ONE WORKS GREAT
from THOMASVILLE, AL
I PLANTED TWO TOMOTOES IN IT ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO AND THEY HAVE REALLY TAKEN OFF. THEY ARE ABOUT THREE FEET TALL NOW. IN THE PAST, I NEVER HAD ANY LUCK WITH VEGGIES IN POTS BUT THIS ONE REALLY WORKS.
Deep enough for root veggies
from Long Beach CA
Love that I can scoot these around on my balcony to maximize sun exposure. I searched long and hard for something small, but deep enough for root veggies. This fits the bill perfectly. My only complaint is that the reservoir is hard to fill because it is so close to the ground.
Finally I have tomatoes
from Fort Worth, TX
so far I love this planter. I already have two small roma tomatoes and the cherry tomato is setting friut!
