Ordered two rugs, placed in kitchen. Purchased them because of rave reviews, colors of red/orange/green, and that they were machine washable. They are not home machine washable. The backing frayed and became detached in spots from the very first washing.

Initially I ordered one of these lovely rugs and found the multiple colors to be compatible with almost every room in the house...so I ordered 2 more...then I ordered 2 more. Now I have a total of 5 and would be ordering a sixth but that size sold out. They can look fine with country decor, traditional, modern...you name it! They do slide a wee bit so I've got those mesh-type rug pads under all of mine. I used one of the runners in front of my washer/dryer/laundry sink, others by the front and back door, in the kitchen, and in my office.Some might find the apple design too bold but I think they really grow on you. The colors are like you see online: black, persimmon red, rust, pumpkin, gold,ecru, sage, celery, light olive, dark olive, even light blue! Sounds bizarre but these colors work well together.

The color and style of these rugs fit my kitchen perfectly. I purchased one small rug first to see if I liked it, then I purchased a second rug and the 6' runner. After I washed the first rug, I compared it to the other two and found that the color had faded somewhat and the non-skid backing had partially melted (it was slimy to the touch). I checked No to the recommendation category but I would recommend it with reservataions--it looked great until it was washed.
