Attract bats to your yard and garden with this well-built bat house. Despite their scary reputation, bats are friends, not foes. Most species consume huge amounts of insects every day, and others are important pollinators. Our bat house is built of sustainably harvested Costa Rican teak and will last a lifetime. The 3/4" deep chamber has a rough-grooved entrance and plenty of venting to maintain the ideal temperature and airflow. For best results, hang approx. 15 feet off the ground.

Comments about Teak Bat House:
I bought a bat house for myself and one as a housewarming gift. The recipient didn't know what it was at first, but now is as excited as I am and anxious for spring when the bat houses can be hung on our respective homes. We expect the new occupants to help with control of flying insects, such as mosquitos. I doubt that we will be disappointed because we have seen bats in our areas, but with no specific place to call home. It is much more fun to sit on the porch at dusk and watch bats flitting and diving through the air for their food, than slapping at biting and sucking insect pests who want to eat you alive!
This is a quality product made out of renewable teak that will outlast many less durable, smaller and less attractive bat houses available. I also expect the bats to help in reducing the use of pesticides. Both of these qualities make this product a real bargain.
