Comments about Super Hot® Compost Starter:
The compost started appears to work very well. However, need to use a little less than 1/2 cup of starter per 5 gallon bucket of green or wet material, so go through the bag of starter quite quickly if you have a lot of material to compost.

Comments about Super Hot® Compost Starter:
Using this product helps fast in the break down of the compost material. I love this product and wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't get it. Its this product that has made me continue to compost. I was going to give up on composting because it was taking so long to break down without this.

Comments about Super Hot® Compost Starter:
I purchased a compost recently but it is not breaking down like it is supposed to. I bought this compost starter to hurry it up. I cannot find this in stores. I was glad to see it at Gardners. I gave it a four because we have just started. I wish I had bought it a long time ago. I look foward to my compost to put around plants, trees and flowers.
Pros
- Composts Quickly
Cons
Best Uses
- Starting A New Pile
Comments about Super Hot® Compost Starter:
I've used this 2 years in a row to jump-start my compost pile in the spring. It does a great job of getting the pile heated up quickly and breaks down the scraps, leaves and coffee grinds from the winter quickly enough for me to have useable compost by late spring. I find it unnecessary in the summer though.
Pros
- Composts Quickly
Cons
- Mulch Not Fine Enough
- Needs Solution Added
Best Uses
Comments about Super Hot® Compost Starter:
Gets hot quickly but doesn't do it well enough for it to spread and keep hot after around five days. Also, it seems to require more than some others to get started. I will says it probably out performs other starters just doesn't keep it going long enough.
