This replaces a too-small ceramic compost container that broke. This was four times more expensive but it will be used heavily and should last for a long time so I hope the expense will be justified.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This crock is heavy weight stainless steel and does not have any seams to trap food or liquid, and it cleans up easily. It holds a good amount and with the filter, there is no odor. It fits easily under my sink. We have been composting our kitchen scraps for many years, I wish I had gotten this sooner as I am sure it is the last one we will need to buy. By the way, it is worth the extra money for this, instead of the $25 one.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Very large. Holds in smell well until you open lid. Not as durable as I was hopeing. Have only had it a couple of months and it is rusting and that is even with the compost bags. The two filters in the lid seems to be fruit fly trap, they are hard to clean out.
