I had hoped to light a short walkway for night time use. These lights do not hold their charge long enough to last even through the evening. Very disappointing for the cost. If all the paperwork and boxes had not been thrown out with the Christmas wrap, these would have been immediately returned. SO DISAPPOINTING!

We used these beautiful solar lights to show-the-way on our new sidewalk to the main entrance of our home. The bronze finish looks great as it lights up the organic flow to our front door. I purchased 6 and thinking of ordering more!

I use the lights for my back door steps. The lights are well constructed but they do not stay lit for very long. They are in a slightly shaded area and may not get a full battery charge.

For a Christmas present for my wife, I and our daughter each ordered a pair of these solar path lights. They were very easy to assemble. We put them outside in late morning and that evening they were putting out light. Not sure how much of this was due to charging and how much from the AA batteries that came with it.

These lights look much better and sturdy than competitors I've seen and we like that they are solar - no wires to run.

The only thing that kept me from rating these a "5" was the amount of light they cast. For the most part I like that they are bright enough to just illuminate the path but I guess I'd like a little bit more light. By no means a deal breaker, though.

I am curious what the AA batteries are for. It seems they provide power for the lights in lieu of solar charging, but nothing in the instructions provide any clues.

That said, these are exactly what I expected from GS - a product that is well built, attractive, and at a reasonable price.

Tops of lights did not screw on tightly...a brisk wind will knock them off. Lights do not hold a charge for more than 2-2.5 hrs even following previous sunny days. Very disappointed. Not the quality I expected compared to solar lights I have purchased from competitive vendors. Complained to service rep but was told she could do nothing until I had them for 3 days. Should have returned them, but box had already gone to the trash.

The lights are supposed to shine on a dark stairway outside, but the batteries only last a day. We recharged the batteries that came with the lights and we tried other, new batteries; both with the same result. No light after one day. Very disappointing.

I bought this because I wanted a high quality, nice looking solar light for a walkway. I needed it to last the night because it illuminates a step. Seems to be holding up well. It is expensive, but if it lasts, it is worth it.

These lights seem to be very high quality. I like the fact the solar panel is completely sealed, so frost and heavy downpours should be less likely to damage the battery casing inside. I've not had the opportunity to fully test the lights as I take the solar lights in during late Fall and Winter, but I'm looking forward to using them next year.
