Here's a smart alternative to bark mulch, made from 100% recycled tires. A landscape backing holds the shredded rubber in place, while it also suppresses weed growth. Each 22" by 72" section is easy to install, and the 2" lip of fabric down one side ensures continuous coverage over wider areas. We recommend anchoring the mulch with our Earth Staples, sold separately.

- Walkway Between Beds
Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:
This is a great idea but overall could have been better executed. First, no one is going to mistake it for real mulch. It looks like pieces of brown rubber even with a bit of a shinny finish. Second, the very thin weed barrier on the back separates from the mulch easily and quickly. Where I have it stapled down between a pair of 8' long planting beds it looks decent. But I do not expect you could just lay this anywhere without stapling it down. Also need to be careful with mowers around this as it would probably pick it up and eat it. For the price the quality should be better and the length longer than 6 feet.

Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:
Previously had 12x12 stepping stones to walk on in 10' x 16' garden but they were not stable. I saw this flat, recycled rubber walkway advertised and decided to try it. This really fit the bill. Easy to install with the ground staples, just rolled it out, it is comfy on bare feet and very nice to walk on. I cannot emphasize this enough, compared to stones it is much more preferable for walkway. Looks just like mulch and washes off with hose. Great product!

Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:
The walkway durability depends on the backing material. The best is when a visqueen type material is glued to the back of the rubber. The worst is when the backing is a net type material and only glued in spots to the rubber. The last batch was back to the net material, bummer.
The last set I pruchased was from a competiter. It had the visqueen backing, but the dogs shreded it. So I bought the last batch from Gardener and found it had the net backing. I am hopeful.
