what a neat little timer. I am using it with my 3-tier grow light stand and it is great to have flexibility of different timers for each level. The power cord is quite short, however, and it is a stretch to reach from the power cord on the lights to my wall outlet. The power strip is literally hanging in mid-air, which is a bit weird, but better than adding an extension cord.

I use the timer to grow seedlings and young plants. I like the fact that half of the strip works on the timer and the other half is straight on/off switch. Setting the timer is easy to do, however figuring it out took a couple of minutes. The small tabs that surround the timer will settle halfway down, but they need to be pushed further down to actually engage. It took me a couple of minutes to get the courage up to push it further down...I didn't want to break the tab off. Super easy to use. The power cord is a standard length, about 3', but a little longer would make it much more convenient.

This power strip and timer have come in very handy with my 3 level plant stand. I use the 4 plug-ins on one side for my lights because they work off of the timer. Even if the timer is off the other 4 plug-ins still work just in case I might need them for something else. The customer service dept. has been very helpful also. The first one I bought did not work and they did not hesitate to replace it. A year or so later I lost the instructions on how to set the timer. When I called the service dept. they were very nice and willing to send me a copy of the instructions. In my opinion having a friendly and helpful customer service dept. plays a big part in who I order from.

This is a very nice timer. Many mentioned the difficulty of the pins, but no one mentioned that the cord is only 3 feet long. My outlet is located 4 feet up the wall, so that's a bit inconvenient for me. Otherwise, it does it's job well.

Now I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn off the grow lights and frying my little seedlings under the heat of the lamps. This is the only extension cord with a timer, AND it accepts 3-prong (grounded) plugs, which all of my grow lights have. It took a little while to figure out how to set up the current time, since the arrow indicating current time is not obvious at first. Also, the pins that determine when the fixture is on or off are hard to push down and pull up. Once I figured it all out though, this extension cord with timer was easy to use. I'm looking forward to many years of having it regulate the on/off timing of my indoor greenhouse lights.

I easily began my indoor seeds under 12 hours of light and didn't have to fuss with it. After a couple of weeks, it was very easy to extend the hours of light by 15 minutes, and I continue to do this every couple of weeks.
