Comments about Dog and Cat Welcome Signs:
Ordered both the cat and dog designs as gifts. Cat one arrived damaged but too much trouble to return. Dog design is a bit sturdier and was intact when arrived. Probably wouldn't have bought them if I had seen how flimsy they are first. This is the first item from Gardeners Supply that I have been disappointed in.

Comments about Dog and Cat Welcome Signs:
I bought the cat welcome sign and found the stakes to be flimsy, and I live in a very windy area. I used epoxy to affix the stake pieces together, and then to affix the stake to the sign. This prevented the sign from spinning in the wind or being knocked over. I thought about spraying the sign with clear lacquer to prevent rusting, but decided I wanted the aged and weathered look. However, I was surprised by how quickly and how much it actually rusted. I will probably give it a light sanding in the spring and then spray it so it doesn't deteriorate further. Regardless, I would buy this again, and may still get the dog version.

I am disappointed at how much this rusted - and in a very short time. Although cute when it first arrived, it turned rather ugly quickly. I would like my money back

As an outdoor decoration it is not sturdy enough, but it is super cute.

Comments about Dog and Cat Welcome Signs:
cute design, but bends too easily, even after we reinforced it. It also blows around and moves too easily. With the word "Welcome" on it, you want it to stay in place. The description says "light lacquer", but after only a couple of months in a sheltered area, there is a lot of rust. Just not worth the money.

Comments about Dog and Cat Welcome Signs:
This is a cute sign by the front door, however, it bent at the joint the first time I tried to put it in the ground (soft ground at that). My husband reinforced it and it bent again when he tried it. It also blows around and turns too easily. With the word on it, you want it to stay in one place. I just don't think it's worth the money.

LOVE this! immediately set at walk up drive to back yard, and door.
although, rusts quickly, i sprayed w/ a clear coat of "poly" spray paint to quash any future rusting. It does tend to 'spin' in the wind, but is an excellent greeting, as i own two cats.

I love dogs and this just suits me. So far I've not put it outside, but it is very cute.
