Comments about Essex Plant Supports:
These looked as though they'd be perfect for my floppy peonies. I, however, found them to be impossible to assemble and impossible to keep together once placed in the garden. Even two people were not enouh to assemble and place these! Despite what it will probably cost me these will be making a return trip to Gardener's Supply.

They are difficult to assemble and even when assembled kept popping apart until I GLUED them together. Why didn't they come like that? Shipping I suppose.

Comments about Essex Plant Supports:
I bought this for my huge peony. I am stunned at how lovely this is. Because of its shape, I thought it would suit my peony perfectly. It's early spring here in Connecticut, so my peony has not grown sufficiently to reach the top, but I suspect that indeed this support will be perfect for it. The quality is superb -- I think I'll have this for years and years. It was super easy to put together, and it's sturdy!! I have another style plant support which I use on two other peonies in a different section of my yard. It works well but isn't so easy to use or sturdy as this one...hence my pleasure when receiving this one :) It's such a pretty support as well. I enjoy just looking at it now even though the peony stalks aren't yet resting on it! Too bad it's at the back of my house where nobody but me sees it!!! When I need to replace my other 2, THIS is what I'll purchase.

Comments about Essex Plant Supports:
LIKE EVERYONE SAYS, POORLY MADE
Bought these for large, old peony bushes. They're attractive, but the directions recommend a two-person assembly, and they aren't kidding. That would be OK, but the attachment piece snapped off before we could even get this put together. It can be wired together and still be used, but what a pain for an expensive item. If you can get them assembled without breakage, they are pretty and do the job nicely.

Comments about Essex Plant Supports:
I agree with all of the comments on the poor design of these supports. The little connector pieces rust out and break off, or even break off without rusting out. I find that I am able to wire together the pieces if the connectors have fallen off, but I get cranky every time I have to stoop to do that on a product which is not inexpensive.
The plus is that they really do look beautiful in the garden, and once they are assembled in some fashion, they do a good job supporting the peonies. I just wish that SOMEONE would address the design problems.

Comments about Essex Plant Supports:
I purchased 2 of these to support my peonies. They are so simple to put together by myself. I purchased the medium size and my plants have reached the top of the ring and setting buds so I think I have picked the right size. Next year I will be ordering more of these as they look so attractive.

Comments about Essex Plant Supports:
I think there has been a disastrous change in the connectors on these. There are now little rectangular pieces crudely welded on, which break off when you are about to get all the pieces interlocked, after a mighty struggle. Then the others slip loose. They are actually quite sturdy except for these critical pieces, and so all the attractiveness becomes useless. I was nearly in tears and would have returned them but for the size and hassle and expense. A completely frustrating purchase. So dumb to let this poor design/quality control slip through. The more I write, the angrier I become. Just plain bad.

Comments about Essex Plant Supports:
This support does an excellent job of supporting my large peonies. The design is attractive and sturdy. It is a little tricky to assemble, but I could do it by myself. However, it would be much easier to assemble with two people.
