The birds don't go to the product. Squirrels don't like them either.

San Francisco Peninsula birds say "no"

Sad to say, although we have many birds all year in our garden, not one has shown any interest or eaten any seeds. I stopped putting out their usual mix in order to coax them to the "pear" with no success. I also gave some to family around SF Bay area (north, south and in foothills). There they hang - no interest from local birds. I am not sure whether it is the glue or that they just don't like the mix.

We bought this for my husband's grandmother, who is at the point in life where she doesn't want to accumulate more "stuff." This fit the bill. She was absolutely thrilled with it and commented on how much she enjoyed watching the birds come and eat off them.

Sadly, even the squirrels don't like it.

I was told that it might take a while for the birds to switch over to eating these, however it is almost a month and they have yet to be touched. And the squirrels have not touched them at all either. Unfortunately, there is now mold growing on them.

Customer service was great but the replacement was put in a big box with nothing to keep it from being broken up when I received the item.

I bought 2 packages and split them up. I gave 2 pears with a loaf of homemade bread as last minute hostess gifts. Fed both birds and humans!

I gifted these seed pairs to a relative who was so pleased. She has been slowly hanging them up in the gardens she created for her feathered friends. I would most definitely gift them again and am considering buying some for myself.
