Description

At 29" high, this attractive cedar planter is the perfect height for easy growing, eliminating the need to stoop, bend, kneel and reach. It's a generous 10" deep so you can grow big plants like tomatoes and root crops like carrots. With 16 square feet of growing space, there's plenty of room for multiple crops, yielding a generous harvest. Set up one or more of these rectangular beds around the edge of your patio to create a convenient kitchen garden, or fill them with flowers for a stunning display. Like our other cedar raised beds, the sides are held in place with our sleek and sturdy aluminum corners. There's a false floor made of cedar slats, set 10" down from the top so there's plenty of root space for vegetables and flowers. Excess water drains through slats; vents in the sides allow air to circulate and excess moisture to evaporate.

Exactly what I was looking for. I purchased two raised garden beds and couldn't be happier. Arrived undamaged and complete, assembly was an easy one-man job. The height is perfect, no more bending, kneeling and pulling myself up off the ground. Everyone compliments on how clean and professional the boxes look. I am still experimenting with irrigation, currently using a 'soaker hose', the 25' model make three warps across the box surface but water seems to drain straight down; been supplementing with hand water until resolved. Easily to reach and inspect plants, looking forward to a bountiful harvest.

I have recently had both knees replaced and this raised bed will allow me to continue gardening on at least a limited scale. The bed was easily assembled and the pieces fit together well. It is very attractive on my deck and I look forward to gardening in it.\

One of the alumiminum posts was damaged upon opening package but had nothing to do with the integrity of the product. If the post caps were installed at the factory, that might have prevented the problem. Holes for screws don't line-up perfectly but overall it went together very easily. I bought the oil and highly recommend it. Great product and great service.

This is my 3rd raised 2x8 garden and I have a forth on the ground. We live in NM desert and we can put it our own soil which is great. We are 70 and this makes all aspects of working on your garden easy- planting, watering, taking care of weeds, spraying for insects and picking crops.

I'm an experienced gardener, with a large vegetable garden, greenhouse and a popular gardening blog who is often asked to test and review products which sometimes under-impress. I purchased this item on my own, as frankly, I am not getting any younger, and felt that I wanted to try a higher raised bed in which to raise veggies and flowers. I was pretty impressed with the quality, price and design of this bed - the scent of cedar, the powder-coated metal legs and the sleek design which not only looks great in the garden, but the vertical lines allow for more soil volume and depth than any other bed I could find. This is my first season raising crops in it, but I am already planning on buying more, as I can see multiple uses - bot just for vegetables, but for more challenging crops as well. With so many soil-borne diseases, tomatoes are an obvious crop - this year I am raising chili peppers, but I could easily use these for wintering over some of my more plant-geeky projects such as Primula auricula (if I use protective hoops or if I can find a mini-greenhouse cover for it.

I used this product as a flower bed under my pergola. I have put beautiful flowers in it that would normally not make it in the hot Florida sun. It is absolutely beautiful. Did not take long to put together. The materials are durable and will last a very long time. I would recommend buying this planter.

I absolutely love this planter box. It requires no bending on my part for tending to my garden, it keeps the critters from munching on the vegetables, and I have had many individuals comment on how much they love this item, asking where I purchased it. It compliments my existing yard.

After huge research on options, I chose this planter for our Assisted Living home - and it's a HOME RUN! Our Men's Group was easily able to put it together; then our whole group of residents got SO much pleasure out of the easy planting. We have so much enjoyment ahead. (Now I want one!!) It's beautiful quality.

                                              • No time for a traditional, in-ground vegetable garden? A raised bed is a shortcut to a plentiful harvest, even in the first year.
                                              • We asked kitchen garden expert Ellen Ecker Ogden to come up with planting plans for a couple of our Elevated Raised Beds. The results, both beautiful and delicious, are here.
                                              • If you have a small-space garden, consider these pre-planned gardens, which are based on square-foot gardening techniques. Each set of five plans is available in PDF; download the set that matches the size of your garden:
