This products had a few negative reviews, but since the good outweighed the bad, I went for it. It's perfect. Looks great on the counter and no odors escape the vented filter. Even onions can't be detected. Love it!

Looks fantastic. Sturdy without being heavy. No smell. A little hard to empty because of somewhat narrow opening. Would buy it again.

I keep the container under my sink so it's handy every time I have vegetable scraps. Each time it's full, I just take it out and add to my compost pile. My vegetable and flower gardens benefit and there's no waste from the produce I buy.

The vast majority of the kitchen compost pails on the market can best be described as functional but not aesthetically pleasing. No so here. This item is very nice to look at. But it's also functional. It holds a decent quantity and the filter and lid keep any extra unwanted aromas in check. The large opening allows for easy filling, emptying, and cleaning. We couldn't be more please.

The crock is attractive so having it on the counter adds to the décor. Because it is always available it is well used. It's size means fewer trips to the composter. We love it.

Have used other products, but this does not give off an odor with lid closed. But it also doesn' give off an odor when I open the lid. The filter is amazing! The only thing that is a slight negative is th opening is a little narrow. I can live with it cause it is nice to look at.

                                    • With the increase in recycling and reuse programs, it's easier than ever to reduce the amount of trash in our garbage cans. But we can do more. Some estimates say that a single household can divert 300 pounds a year from the waste stream.
