    Comments about Vegtrug™ Patio Garden:

Just assembled this product. Not all the pre-drilled holes aligned, had to drill some new ones. Very soft and thin wood, could hear it splitting while drilling new holes. Some pieces were received already split. Natural color is wood color, picture on catalog and web site shows yellow. The water sealer treatment done on the wood didn't appear very effective after a water test so, before assembly, I treated the wood again with water sealer. I added wheels to help in moving it around a bit. I'll use it for vegetables and some flowers. The design is nice and it looks good. Not sure it will last more than a couple of seasons.

    Comments about Vegtrug™ Patio Garden:

I was looking forward to using this VegTrug, however upon opening the box and laying out the pieces, I was disappointed to find that on the two long side pieces, the wood screwed to the slats was not being held by the screws as they had stripped the wood and were barely together. This has occurred on both side pieces which totaled four ends not being held together. Quite a disappointment for the money spent on this VegTrug.

I will have to make some sort of modifications with wood glue and other types of screws to hold the side pieces together so they don't fall apart. Too large and too much trouble to send back, so I will suffer the consequences of buyer beware. Too bad Quality Control appeared to have the day off when I ordered my Trug.

    Comments about Vegtrug™ Patio Garden:

Shipping was quick and easy, however upon opening the box, I was disappointed that the side panels that have screws on either end with a support piece were all separated. The screws had stripped the wood and we're not holding, therefore before I can even attempt to assemble it, I will have to use wood glue and some sort of fastener to get these to hold. Quite disappointing for the money spent on this trug.

    Comments about Vegtrug™ Patio Garden:

I have arthritis and bending down/kneeling to work in my established, ground-level herb bed has been getting more difficult. The Vegtrug patio garden is the perfect height and size for pain-free use. The assembly instructions were a little confusing at times, but eventually my husband and I got it put together in about 90 minutes. I am impressed with the amount of soil it holds and the v-shaped design that allows longer-rooted plants space to grow. My herb garden has done nothing but thrive since planted, and the elevation that discourages critters from snacking on my plants is also a plus.

The Veg Trug was easy to assemble, my partner was able to put it together with minimal assistance. Watching the video on-line helped. We were able to quickly fill it with soil and planted cold weather lettuce, herbs, spinach and broccoli on March 30. All are growing great. Harvested lettuce, spinach and cilantro on April 19th. Had a wonderful salad. Looking forward to planting warm weather veggies in a few weeks.

        Comments about Vegtrug™ Patio Garden:

I'm starting vegetable gardening for the first time in 35 years. I love how easy this was to assemble. I tend to have occasional back issues to it is the perfect height for gardening. With the greenhouse cover, I have been able to start my lettuces, radishes, carrots, and spinach when many neighbors have yet to start anything in their gardens. In the next week or so I should be able to harvest some of my first greens. Waiting to see how this all holds up as the season progresses.

Easy to put together and the best part not having to bend over for this mid 70's lady. It was a snap to order and arrived with in a week. The veggie seeds came up within days and the tomato and cukes have already doubled in size in just a week and a half.We used a soil just for this type of bed.
