        Comments about Summerweight Garden Fabric:

I have used this fabric for years and have been very satisfied. This year I used some (unused) fabric from last year as well as the new fabric that I ordered this spring. Some of it goes on Super Hoops and some of it is used as floating row cover. The new fabric disintegrated in the first week of use, while last year's fabric held up all season, even saving my late pea crop from a hailstorm. I'm very disappointed that the quality has gone down and will not buy again.

Live in Southern CA and this provides just the right amount of sun protection to prevent peppers, tomatoes and eggplants from getting those burn spots.

I was looking for a material that would be easy to work with, strong enough to resist birds, bugs and other pests, but still allow adequate moisture and air to my vegetable plants. Good product for Summer. Also recommend the All-Purpose fabric for cooler Fall and Winter months!

                Comments about Summerweight Garden Fabric:

This fabric is a great season extender protecting early and late crops from the cold. A 12' width would allow good coverage with hoops. It's also handy for keeping out cabbage moths provided you put it on BEFORE eggs are laid, otherwise the fabric will be used as a nursery.

                      Comments about Summerweight Garden Fabric:

The fabric was too tightly woven. Water did not flow through it as described, and the plants did not breath, some branches lost leaves as they were cooked. We lost a considerable portion of our crop as a result, after roughly 7-10 days of use. A looser mesh would have been better.

Used this to cover my grape vines to protect against an onslaught of beetles. It has kept the beetles away and the vines are flourishing. Great product. It lets the sun in and keeps the bugs away. Very pleased.

This product with the super hoops is excellent for protecting young seedlings. Helps shade older less sun/heat tolerant plants such as peas and fava beans. Best Fava bean plants I have ever had using the row cover and super hoop system. Using only clothes pins and a stake on each end this system has withstood the high winds and heavy rain that we have had this year.
