Exclusive | Seed Tapes: Precision Planting with No Waste, No Thinning

  • Seed tapes make it easy to plant straight rows of perfectly spaced seeds
  • Simply unroll in a furrow and cover with soil
  • High germination rates and little or no thinning needed
  • Choice of popular crops; three tapes per package, 16'-6" total

Seed Tapes are the perfect, no-waste way to plant where space really counts — in containers, raised beds, or small gardens. Each strip of biodegradable paper is embedded with perfectly spaced seeds; simply unroll into a planting furrow and cover. Planting is precise, there's little or no thinning needed, and the germination rate is outstanding. Seed Tapes are made by Suttons Seeds, one of England's most trusted growers, and we're offering some of their most reliable and rewarding varieties. Seed tapes are also ideal for mid-season succession planting between rows.

Popular with English gardeners for years and trialed in our own test gardens with almost 100% germination, Seed Tapes have made believers of us. Choice of Spring Onion (White Lisbon), Radish (French Breakfast), Carrot (Amsterdam Forcing 3), Lettuce (Webb's Wonderful), or Beet (Boltardy).

  • Biodegradable paper and seeds
  • 16'-6" total length
  • Gardener's Supply Exclusive

Radishes grow very well. Onions do NOT grow. This is the second attempt with the same results, 0. Will not order onion strips again. Wasted my money.

            Comments about Seed Tape:

Seed tapes are perfect for those veggies that have seeds that are extremely tiny, make it so easy to plant...no more trying to get those tiny seeds evenly spaced ...no more having to thin the veggies as they come up. My folks always used them for radishes carrots etc. Thank you for having them.....they are hard to find!

Love, love, love this seed tape. I have used most of the different types offered by Gardeners and would highly recommend it. The seeds all do well and grow into lovely plants. My favorites is the lettuce!

                          Comments about Seed Tape:

I ordered the seed tape in three varieties. The radishes are beautiful. I will never buy a packet of radish seeds again. It is well worth the marginal increase in cost to avoid thinning the seedlings. I did thin a little bit, but nothing compared to usual years. I am almost ready to pick the first crop.

The spring onions were late to start, but they are also now coming along. However, the beets were a disappointment. I got maybe 8 plants, and I planted 8 feet of tape.
