I used this product one time and it cut like butter....but then it stopped opening and I had to manually open it each time I wanted to cut something. Too much manual work for these arthritic hands! I cleaned it and still would not open. I returned it and was very disappointed it did not hold up.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:

Comments about Powergear Pruners:
This product has gotten quite a bit of use. I've used it in my very large yard and in others and done many tasks with it. The blade has gone dull quickly and has fallen apart in the middle of a job. Not very dependable but I like the purpose of the handle for people who get arthiritis. I continued to use it until today when it fell apart again. This time not fixable. It's good for the small gardener however.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:

Comments about Powergear Pruners:
The design is terrific, easy to use. I am very disappointed in the quality of the blade. After one week of normal shrub trimming, the blade has nicks and the spring has lost it's sprung. I do not recommend this item.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I have "tennis elbow" and I find using these pruners helps me escape the usual pain following pruning. The ease of cutting, snipping, etc., was so much easier than anything I have used. I am very glad I got them.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I used the pruner to clean out azalea bushes that were overgrown and found it to be easy to use.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
These pruners easily clipped my hydrangea bush as well as small twigs and branches for a piece of rustic furniture I made. It also locks shut, which is another good feature.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I have arthritic hands. They cramp easily.
I had no problem pruning bushes with these pruners.
They were a breeze to use.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
The pruners are light weight and sharp - they almost seem like an extention of your owh hand.

Comments about Powergear Pruners:
This pruner is excellent for general garden pruning. I use it for pruning bushes and garden plants. It works especially well for those who may have some arthritis in the thumb joint. The extra power this pruner gives the user does not put undue stress on this joint.

Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I have small hands and not a lot of strength, and this tool allows me to do many things I would have otherwise had to bother my husband with. I like how the handle rolls as you squeeze. It is very comfortable and does the job.
The only con was--the first day I used them I evidently got into some poison oak.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
These are great for everything! I used them to trim down a trumpet vine that was about 1" thick with one sqeeze of the handle! With my old pruners I would have to start cutting on one side of the branch, move around and start cuting on the other side, trying to meet in the middle. These do not stress your arm or hand, cut the branch in just one squeeze! I will never buy any other pruner!
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I have gone through many pruning shears and this one is comfortable to use without much effort on my part. Just the tool needed to prune my roses and bushes. It is important to use the right tool for the right job.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
Carpal tunnel issues made pruning almost impossible, these make pruning a joy again.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
Blades are sharp. Grip is comfortable, though a bit too large for my hand. Pruners cut small branches easily. The jaw size combined with the rotation allows me to cut thicker diameters and tougher wood that I can with most other one-handed pruners. I do a lot of pruning of woody shrubs and small trees, so find these pruners a help.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
For the price I expected more durability. After using these on bush trimming (branch size 1/8" or less) the blades seperated permanently. Due to the permananent pivot connection they cannot be repaired. Had to throw them away.

Comments about Powergear Pruners:
These pruners are very, very lightweight. The grip is super comfortable and they are very easy to flex for cutting. Using them is really effortless, even for hands that are 50+ years young. I spent three hours cutting back 35' of lavendar and pruning a large rose bush with no stiffness or soreness. If you need one good hand tool, buy these.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I have owned this pruner about 5 years. It is easy to take it apart to clean and sharpen. I use them for everything - taming vines, cutting vegetables, controlling roses and pruning citrus trees.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
Pruning has always been difficult because of my carpal tunnel issue. This pruner is so much more comfortable than my last one!
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I used these to cut through the thick branches of my Bird of Paradise. On my first cut I used 2 hands expecting to have to use some force. It cut a thick branch like it was butter. I was able to quickly prune my overgrown bush with very little effort. These are truly amazing!!!
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
Started out great but continuously sticks with each cut I make. Very frustrating.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I used my pruners for the first time today, even after a broken finger (not healed yet) I was able to work in my garden and perform a multitude of tasks. Deadheading everything, pruning shrubs here and there, cutting flowers for the house.

Great item! Small and compact but gets the job done!
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
The pruners are very easy to use. They reduce the stress on your hand while cutting thicker branches or stems.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
Really enjoy the 'lack of hand strength' needed to use these clippers. Cut is sharp; clipper is lightweight...and, I hide them from my husband! Afraid I'll never see them again if he uses it.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
the design is so easy on the wrist... they just
glide. best i've ever bought.
Comments about Powergear Pruners:
I got this for my husband to use on small plants and bushes. I am afraid that it did not hold up well even under these light tasks with the blade and spring both failing to last. As a result I am afraid i cannot recommend these.
