I saw a lot of prior complaints about bad packaging and damaged goods on this product. Took a chance and ordered it anyway. Won't work -- frame apparently twisted so the motor won't turn at all.My choice is to re-package this 100-pound monster on my own and ship it back at my expense or try to get it repaired locally. This is just what I wanted. The picture in the catalog is a little misleading since the splitter has to be raised on a work surface for best results (and ease of use). I used my Black and Decker Workmate and it was fine. A picnic table or other work surface would work fine as well. The instructions on the unit are clearer than the instructions in the leaflet. All in all, no complaints.
