I really should have had this product at the beginning when I first planted the pot. Even though I purchased this fertilizer half way into the growing season and could use it to top dress my over planted Basil pot, this product was able to revive my plants and the results were amazing. Three basil plants in a 10 inch pot became a Basil Bush almost 3 feet high! The product did a attract a few flies when first used as top dressing fertilizer, but it really was a minor issue of no importance. I love the Organic products you have Garden Supply -- Keep them coming!!!

We have 12 different vegetables growing and 12 herbs. This year has been the best and most productive since using the all purpose fertilizer.
Our whole family is vegetarian so the initial smell bothered me but after it is exposed to air, it is not so pungent. I would definitely recommend

Since our area is overpopulated with deer, the only place that I can safely grow tomatoes, petunias and pansies is on our elevated deck in containers (Gardener's Supply containers which I have used for years). Works great in my containers up on a high deck, but in a conventional garden it's a problem. I dug a long trench, sprinkled the fertilizer,and planted 16 small tomato plants. A skunk (presumably) came along in the night and neatly re-dug the trench and uprooted the plants. Replanted the 13 that survived and same story the next night. I'm down to 12 plants, three look bad, don't know if the skunk is coming back tonight. He apparently likes the peanuts and meat smell. My other plants that received no fertilizer were ignored.

I bought this product the first time because it was suggested to use when I planted my Dwarf Josee Lilacs this past spring. I used it for the Lilacs and I put about a 1/2 cup around my Hydrangea at the same time. I have watched my Lilacs fill out and grow all summer, along with the green, green grass around them. My Hydrangea had about 16 huge blooms that lasted well into November. I just cut them off to dry them and use in an arrangement in the house. About 2 weeks before I plan to bring in my houseplants, I loosen the soil and mix in the all purpose feriilizer. This lasts the whole winter season for my plants while they are indoors. They are so vibrant, they look like they were just brought in, all winter long. By waiting for the 2 weeeks there is little if any odor left.

It is advertised as "slow release" but it sure was fast acting as far as plant and flower growth is concerned. Unfortunately I had a mysterious squash plant that appeared in my garden. I used the fertilizer on it. Well, it turned into them. When the first "squash" was big enough to cut, it turned out to be inedible. It must have been a hybrid of seeds fed to birds, esp. pumpkin seeds. So, ended up pulling up all of the "squash patch". But if it had been a for-real squash patch, the fertilizer would have made fast production and huge veggies. Just sorry my patch sprung from an alien source. Flowers I used it on surely looked healthier and grew faster.
