I must concur with other reviewers here... great items to have for a focal point in your yard/garden areas... not very large, so place them effectively. To keep the original colors, find yourself a polyU spray and treat them, put them away in the cold seasons and bring them back out for more fun next spring!

I absolutely loved these chickens and ordered all of them. I sprayed them with clear coating so they would be weather resistant...didn't work...they all rusted out after a year...legs rusted off, they rusted on the top ...everywhere. I am truly disappointed that this happened....especially since they were so expensive.

I bought Daisy & Duke about 4 years ago and get so many compliments.
In late Fall I clean them up and store in the garage. In the Spring I actually look forward to putting them out again! They still look great and even though they may have faded and rusted a tad, I love the look.
I'm planning on buying more. I also think they would make a great centerpiece for a table; their feet can be stuck in styrofoam which is placed in a shallow clay pot and covered with moss to hide the styrofoam

This is my 2nd set of Funky Chickens. I accidently left the original set out over the winter and one got mauled by the snowblower. The other rusted a bit over the winter, but still looks great. The rust just makes it look a little funkier. Just like the originals, this set looks great and is super easy to install.

I bought two sets. After sealing them against the weather, we secretly placed one set on my sister's lawn. She went crazy for weeks trying to figure out who brought Roger and Dot to her house. Now that she knows it was me, I've been able to put my Roger and Dot out in my vegetable garden (couldn't put mine out when she wasn't sure where hers came from). Now we both have baby chicks to go with Roger and Dot and other family members want their own chickens. I just bought another pair for my nephew's girlfriend's Christmas present. I used these in containers on the deck. They look really cute, but after a few weeks the plants grew so large that the poor chickens disappeared. I keep having to move them. I think longer legs would help.

I have two sets of chickens in an area with some interesting groundcovers, and the chickens take the place of flowering plants in this shady area. I've gotten several compliments and the chickens are easy to move and store in winter. This is their second season and I see not evidence of rust or wear.

I did coat it with with a "varnish" for outdoors and hopefully that will extend its life. It really brightens up areas of the flower gardens or areas. I felt the cost was definitely worth the interest it creates among my flowers/plants.
