    I purchased my first 2 last year along with the 3 chicks and my sister-n-law and I thought they were really cute, so this year I purchased the set of four, two more for me and two as a gift for her, I know she'll love them in her yard as much as I do.

    These chicks look better in the catalog than they do in your garden. Perhaps that is because the catalog photo was taken at ground level and people tend to look downwards at similar objects, not from ground level. They are so small that when placed in a landscape they are unnoticeable. The quality of manufacture is OK; typical of imported metal goods but I was disappointed with the dull colors and ineffective appearance in my garden.

    These chickens are definitely a conversation piece. The only maintanence so far is to spray them with polyurethene to keep them from whethering too fast. The are supposed to weather gradually and develop a unique patina. I love them, and plan to buy some for my mother for mother's day.

    I waited a long time for these chickens to arrive and I am glad I did. They are adorable and can be set in the garden instantly. Almost everyone who sees them, comments on them. I did follow the suggestion in the directions to spray them with a sealant to help protect the finish (the reason for four stars instead of five). Only time will tell how well they hold up outside - I do plan to "garage" them for the winter. I plan to put the baby chicks on my wish list.

    I love them! I'm an avid gardener and my "chickens" add a real country touch to my garden and flowers. Everyone wants to know where I got them, how much they cost, and how they can get them.     The funky chickens are so cute! They are now happily pecking about in my garden area, and they were a snap to install there. They are very secure and have already held up well to strong wind w/o being knocked over.

    The only thing I don't like is that the paint isn't sun resistant. I had to coat it with sealant in order to keep the colors from disappearing and the chickens to weather to patina (which I didn't want to happen). I would have preferred to have them treated with sealant before arriving to me. But, other than that, I love the funky chickens.

    I used the pigs and chickens to decorate the landscape of my father's Alzheimer's care facility. Items such are these are wonderful for providing the residents with "focal points" & "memory trigger" tools. They have been a real "hit" but it would be easier to spot them in the landscape if they were several inches larger (more like a real hen/rooster or piglet). Also, just a bit stronger in the paint job would make them stand out better.

    I use my funky chicken in my garden in different areas. When I first put them in- the squirrels that would seach for food stopped.
