Comments about Granite Pillar with Solar LED Light:

I purchased this despite the reviews about difficulty of changing the bulb. It is real granite and is perfect as an accent light in a Japanese garden setting. The illumination is more decorative than that required for, say, a path. I can see that when the bulb goes, it will not be easy to deal with, but the granite itself is beautiful and it works well and looks great for my purpose.

Comments about Granite Pillar with Solar LED Light:

I bought four Granite Pillars to accent a corner garden in my backyard. The simplicity of the design and the soft lighting add a beautiful touch to the garden. A little sun goes a long way in fueling the solar cells; I get an easy 6-8 hours of light.

The only con is separating the cylinder pieces if batteries need to be replaced. It would be helpful if the manufacturer provided care and maintenance instructions.

Comments about Granite Pillar with Solar LED Light:

I bought two of these, one for my daughter and one for myself. My daughter placed hers on a wall so the light shine just above eye level. Very pretty and you don't see the solar panel on the top. Mine is placed on a rock in my garden. Looks nice, and illuminates the area nicely. I haven't had to change the battery yet.

Comments about Granite Pillar with Solar LED Light:

This granite pillar light is on a step and has been great for about 5 years - The bulb, which is welded in place, needs replacement but is not replaceable. Too bad, as the granite is what the cost is all about.

Comments about Granite Pillar with Solar LED Light:

I just bought two of these for our front and back entries. They look great and provide good illumination. The batteries are easy to change on the new version, a standard case that's easy to pop in and out. I don't know yet about the bulb and haven't had long enough to know about durability but seems very sturdy

Comments about Granite Pillar with Solar LED Light:

I have an older version (without pretty cut out design) and they have been in my garden for over 5 years. I take them in every fall to spare them from harsh weather and they return to my garden in early spring. I love them! I just recently had to replace the batteries (first time since purchase). This is were the problems occurred. Wires on circuit board are tightly connected and wrapped around batteries so when you lift top off of light to install batteries, wires break off. It is near impossible to reconnect wires unless you are good at soldering.
