I am waiting until spring to put this around the air conditioner unit. It is nicely constructed and will add to the appearance. I'm going to have to figure out a way to secure it in place, because of the wind around my house.

All you get are three panels. It's up to you to hinge them or fasten them together. Also, the wood is stained, but not protected, so that needs to be done too.

This requires some work, but most folks can handle it. Just don't expect to use it right out of the box.

It looks nice. I doubt that it will take much abuse, but that should be OK.

This screen was surprisingly attractive and well built. I put a couple of coats of Marine Oil on it to make it more weather and UVR resistant. Also the hinges that came with the screen were small and not very substantial so I invested in some larger antique brass hinges, put them on and it looks great.
I will put it around anything under my carport that I would like to have handy but I don't want to look at. I am very pleased with the furniture like detail that the screen has and would definitely recommend it to someone who doesn't mind putting a little extra effort into weatherproofing and hardware upgrading.

No where in the ad did it explain that I have to put the hinges on this screen. I am a single woman and this is a great inconvenience and I would have never purchased this if I had known I had to put it together. Now I have to find someone to do this for me.

We set these up around our heat pump units. Within a year they had completely fallen apart. Waste of money.

The lattice screen does a good job hiding my air compressor. i bought several sets to hinge together to make a 'corral' to for garbage cans.
the only negative i found is stability, for the air compressor i had to use eyes and a string to 'hold' the back together so it won't shift or fall over

It had a terrible odor when I opened the box, but it did dissipate after being outdoors for a few days. I use it to hide my large cans of birdseed in my yard. We did have to rig an anchoring system so it would not blow over.

We use this screen to hide the A/C unit in our backyard. It is open enough to allow air to circulate and still it is closed enough to hide the A/C unit from sight. After buying this screen and setting it up, my wife and I wonder why we waited so long to buy it.

We use this product to cover our outside air compressor which is just outside the guest bedroom window and in view of the patio. What an improvement! Its look is very natural and it is sturdy. I was planning to paint it the color of the house trim, but now I may leave it the way it is.

(I haven't had the product long enough to say if is weather-resistant)

Well, here we are however long later and yesterday the last piece finally came apart and I have a pile of wood in my back yard that I can't even burn because it's probably treated.

This product is a lemon.

This is an excellent product. I have been searching for just the right lattice screen to hide an ugly propane tank. This was the perfect size, width, height, etc. and it was manufactured out of rot resistent Cedar. It seems to be very well made, although time will tell and even though I waited three months for it to be shipped, it seems very well worth the wait.

I use this product to cover an air conditioner compressor. It is well made, although I coated it with Thompsons Water Seal to protect it from the sun. It could be higher and wider; we had 4 x 4s made for the corners, and had it raised up exposing some of the bottom of the unit for a better look.

The big objection was that I expected the screen to be weather proof. The instructions that came with the screen informed me that I must apply weather protection myself. Since the screen was back ordered it arrived late in the fall so that it was difficult to find a day outside that the preservation could be applied. There was, also, no time for a second coat. Since I had to buy preservative and brushes the screen also cost more than I had anticipated.

I use the screen on my first floor enclosed patio to hide the necessary garden tools, implements and sprays I need for my small planting area. it is great.

I found a similar looking screen, but in weather resistant CEDAR, [...]. Built to last the weather, it has served quite well .... NOT like this fir garbage!

After just two rains, this lattice screen immediately began coming apart. The cheap staples used to secure the lattice straps simply popped out and pieces just started falling to the ground. Screws gnawed and backed themselves out of the wood in just general use due to untreated wood being defenseless against any dampness. These are not a good purchase for outdoor use!!

I just couldn't find an easy, attractive way to hide my air conditioner. I considered fencing, but hoped to find a readymade alternative that would still allow easy access for repair. This screen is perfect - perfectly sized, easy to put together, free-standing, good-looking - and easily lifted and removed to clean up leaves that accumulate behind the screen.
