If you have a modest-sized lawn, a manual reel mower is the smart alternative to the noise and smelly fumes of a gasoline mower. Powered by calories rather than fossil fuels, a reel mower will keep both you and your lawn looking great. As the self-sharpening steel blades spin around, they cut cleanly like scissors, so your grass gets cleanly sheared, not torn. This all-steel mower from Sunlawn features big, 9" wheels, easy height adjustments from 0.4" to 2.2", and a timesaving 16" cutting swath.

  • Manual mower trims your yard without emissions
  • 16" wide cutting swath
  • Foam-covered handle ensures a comfortable grip
  • This oversize item has an additional $20 shipping charge

    Comments about Reel Mower:

I have a relatively large uneven lawn and have used reel mowers for about 10 years. It's a great workout but I wish I had this mower a long time ago. It works great. It's easy to use - lawn looks good - and it hardly takes up any space in my garage. It works so much better than my previous reel mowers that it takes me less time to mow so now I have more time to work in my garden or to just enjoy the great outdoors.

    Comments about Reel Mower:

We have a small, odd shaped backyard that is overrun by stuff that grows like the creature from the black lagoon. My husband is gone freqently and for whatever reason, I can't use the regular mower(plus it stinks and it's loud). With the reel mower, I can keep the grass under control and get to the flowers and veggies (without waiting, paying a neighbor kid, or polluting the air with the fumes)

So easy to use our five year old has even used it!!

    Comments about Reel Mower:

All my husbands yard tools require yanking a starter cord. Weed whacker, leaf blower, push mower. Finally, something I can start on my own power! Now I've got no excuse to not help with the mowing. Hey! Maybe thats whats not so great about it. Actually I'm very pleased with it. The sharp blades cut through tall grass, wet or dry, and it is really quite light weight.

    Comments about Reel Mower:

Nice and light, and I look forward to not sharpening for a few years. However, if you don't have an even lawn surface, this mower will make you nuts, even at higher settings, as it gets stuck on grass tufts and little ridges very very easily. Good thing it's light enough to lift and resposition, but it isn't fun.

It is so much fun. I truly look forward to cutting the grass. It's no effort at all to push it over the St. Augustine grass.
