I used these around my sweet bay magnolias
They look great hold the line and set off the beauty of my trees.
I recomment using tin snips to cut if needed.
I tried linolyum? cutting scissors lin. knife and a sawzall
The tin snips worked the best. I drew the line on the white weed mat backing and got a nice larger inner circle
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
We are changing to low-water, low-maintenance landscape with a small grassy area around our tree. The tree ring allows the kids to cut the grass without having to ever use the weed-wacker, and the area always looks neat and clean!!

Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
We are establishing a large side yard/pasture with a few small trees. My husband found it very difficult to mow around these with the tractor. When I saw your 5' round mats, I knew these would be just what we needed. They look great, really add a polish to the yard, AND the mowing is now a snap. The big mats are heavy. It was easy to place them with two people, but a job when I tried it by myself.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
This ring keeps down the weeds and we don't have to re-mulch each year. The only problem I've had is that the squirrels chewed through the last one I had (3yrs)and I had to replace it.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
They are great for what they are designed for
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Used this around our fruit trees and they are fabulous at preventing weeds around the same. No "odor" like the cocco fiber rings we had before. Plan to purchase more!
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Great for keeping weeds down. [...] They are WAY overpriced!
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
This tree ring was just the right size and I used it below my pole feeder. The excess seeds/shells fall on it and we can mow right over it to pick up the shells. Looks much nicer than having the seed fall on the ground and having the birds pick at it and tear up the grass.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
I bought my first tree ring a couple of years ago to put around my miniature burning bush. I never had to weed that area again and I liked it so much, I bought another ring for a second burning bush that I have. It's a wonderful product because it lets the water through - no puddling and that spot is weed free. The only minor difficulty I had was cutting the hole - I'm not sure what the best tool would be for cutting through this material.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
I put this ring around my weeping cherry tree. It makes it much easier to mow and do not have to weed eat around the tree. Makes the yard look professionally landscaped.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
using the mulch to keep the lawn service's zero radius turn mowers from scarring the tree trunks
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
I like this product and will probably order more.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Easy to use and look great, only bought them for the front yard but like them so much I plan on buying 5 more
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Easy to use and looks great.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
This is a very durable product and easy to use
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
We put this under our tire swing where we had to cap an existing sprinkler head. The area had become muddy as the kids played and wore away at the grass...the ring fits perfectly around the capped sprinkler, gives the kids' feet traction to get the tire swing going, and their shoes don't end up covered in mud when they get off.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
We have a large lawn in the backyard and i would run circles around the trees with our push mower. I needed someting to give me a guide line to mow around, looked good, and keep the weeds out. This does the trick I actually ordered another one.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
I bought one of these years ago to protect a tree that we planted in the middle of the lawn. We have now planted two more trees and I can not imagine not using these tree rings to protect the new trees. Also the trees thrive because they do not have to compete with the weeds.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
the only cut needed is to customize inside area to whatever you're circling. tough to cut, but worth it. I've covered electric pole, trees, and that darn well head.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
These tree rings do what they're supposed to do - keep weeds from growing up around the trees (and keep them safe from my weed-eater happy son-in-law.) However they are more flimsy than those I have purchased in the past, tend to tear very easily, and probably won't last nearly as long as those I've formerly purchased from you. Of course, that was at least 9 years ago.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
The tree rings were perfect for my new little trees. That particular product was hard to find in Alaska and were more expensive at other websites.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
The previous owners had planted some very tall flowers around the mailbox that completely hide the mailbox from view. I dug out the bulbs and placed the Recycled Rubber Tree Ring around my mailbox post. Now we can actually see and get into our mailbox easily. It looks very neat and clean and because it's held in place with earth stakes I can run the lawn mower over it and there is no need to use a weed whacker around the post. I know this is supposed to be used around trees, but the circular cut-out in this ring fits our mailbox post as it is not square like the ring that is marketed specifically to go around mailbox posts. I am very pleased with this product and would definatley order it again.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
I used it in a large planter outside to keep the weeds out.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
It's easy to use--from application to maintenance. The fact that it's made from recycled tires is a bonus. It provides excellent protection from the speeding lawnmower.

Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
I put this product down and immediately I loved the look. Then over the next few weeks I realized the benefits of the ease of mowing around the tree, no mess like bark mulch, the design holds moisture so less water is required and I will not have to add more bark next year. I will buy more for my other trees. Thanks for a great, eco-friendly product.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
We bought 2 rings for our newly planted fruit trees, just to see how they worked(before we bought enough for all of them). We love them and will be buying more, soon. They help keep the weeds down and still let light and water through to the trees.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
It's incredibly hard to find the larger mulch mats. The local big box store only carries the 3' ones and those were way to skimpy for the trees in my property. Kudos on the selection!!
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
While it is a little diffcult to cut and you need to be careful not to make the hole for the tree too large, it works well. Mower glides right over, weeds/grass don't grow through it, and it makes the yard look "finished."
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
These are a bit difficult to cut to fit the tree trunk, but they do a great job! They're long lasting and don't blow away like regular mulch. They're heavy and can be mowed over.

Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Used to protect the base of an elm tree from my neighbor's mower. I had a hard time cutting the material and sizing the opening. I ended up cutting the hole a bit too big. The ring is much heavier than I anticipated; thick and much mass. It appears, it will last a lifetime. However, weeds have grown thru the ring, something I had hoped would not happen. The ring needs to be cut for placement around the tree and there are no fasteners provided to hold the cut ends in place. Believe I would have been much better off using edging and mulch.

Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
This tree ring is great. It's a very substantial thickness of rubber. Nothing flimsey here. I also like the idea that they're recycled tires.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Makes the lawn look polished and clean. Cuts down on lawn work.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
It makes my tree's look neat, and saves me from having to pull weed.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
After 3 summers of constant (and very careful) trimming around our newest tree addition I discovered the mulch mat in your catalog and ordered it. What a great product! Installation could't be simpler, and it does an amazing job of keeping the grass away from the trunk of the tree. And I love the crisp and neat appearance it has. Highly recommended!
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
easy to use around young trees helps to not get too close with mower or trimmer.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Looks great but was extremely difficult to cut center to size of tree trunk.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Wonderful under birdfeeder to keep errant seeds from sprouting.
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
Very easy to install and it looks fabulous!
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
I have purcased four of the 60" diameter recycled rubber tree rings. They do not come in four sections as advertised. (This might be a problem for some customers). However for me the single piece is an advantage. Many of my specimen and fruit trees are on an approximately 45degree slope
and the tree rings are working beautifully to help prevent erosion over the roots of the larrger trees and cover an area where reduced light makes grass impossible to maintain.
The material is not hard to cut and from a distance does not look artificial
Comments about Recycled Rubber Tree Rings:
The material and construction is great but I ran into problems because the center hole was smaller then the base of the tree. The base of your tree needs to be small.
