I love this product! It prevents grass from blocking the spray from the sprinkler heads and makes the sprinkler heads easy to spot when mowing. No more geysers from mowing off the top of the sprinkler!

This rubber mat is great to fit around sprinkler heads that the lawnmower might chew up - the opening to fit around the head is rather small making it somewhat difficult to completely encircle an entire head.

They make my husband's life easier. He doesn't have to look for the sprinkler heads to then trim around them or run over them with the lawn mower. The only way I would improve them is perhaps make them in green so you wouldn't notice them in the lawn.

Should have listened to the reviews 1st. Needed to trim underside to fit over tubing, and took too much off with fingers and piece split in half. Use pliers and slowly pluck away fibers for desired thickness to avoid operator error!

I had purchased the edging of this same material a while back and still am impressed with the results. I purchased these as 'tree circles' to put around a couple of the baby trees I received from the Arbor Day Foundation. They are in a temporary place so I don't have to worry about their outgrowing them before I transplant them. Keeps weeds away and makes them more noticeable in the bed. I had planned to cut a side to make it easier to remove but they are quite thick.

These took a bit of effort to dig into an established lawn. But it will be a lot easier to find the sprinkler heads when it is time to aerate and they should keep grass from entangling the heads.

We have 10 sprinkler heads in our yard. Big problem when it came to mowing around them...nicks and knocked-down heads resulted. These really work. I will be buying more. I did do a bit of extra work when installing them. I dug a deep hole around the sprinkler head then put a small amount of gravel in the hole and then seated the mat (firmly)around the sprinkler head.

Purchased a dozen in the Spring to try after I couldn't locate several sprinkler heads in my lawn. Some were a tight fit but found if you let them sit in the sun they seem to slip over the sprinkler heads more easily then trying to cut them. Some people might prefer them to be green but I found as the grass grows around them they are not really noticeable but yet can be found easily when you are mowing and standing over them.

I hire a neighbor boy to mow my lawn. He is excellent and does a wonderful job. He is most careful around the sprinkler heads and was most appreciative when the mats were installed.It made his job easier and faster by not endangering the sprinkler heads. I put them around some new gear drive sprinklers that I had installed. They were taller than the others and I didn't want to run over them. They work great, are fairly easy to trim if needed and stay put when installed.

Brilliant concept, but you will have to tinker with setup: (1) Inside diameter hole is likely too small, so you will have to hand-pluck the rubber particles to widen the hole (otherwise, rising sprinkler heads catch on inside ring and the spray gets blocked). (2) Grass under mat needs to be thoroughly cut down to ground level and grass next to sprinkler head needs to be terminated with an herbicide. (3) Depending on your topography, you may need to anchor the mats with staples to keep them from shifting.

I love these mats!! They would be easy to apply for most people but I had to custom fit mine because of 4 corners and 2 along the side. They are about an inch thick but I found that a pointed end utility knife and sharp scissors worked just fine. As with any "one size fits all" it would look like one size fits all unless I fit it to my needs. After a little work mine are customized and look and work great. After all the best design secret is in the details. It doesn't take long for the grass to grow around the outside edges and look more natural. They keep the dirt from filling in and blocking the sprinkler heads. Now the sprinklers pop up unobstructed, I can mow over them, trim around without as much work, and I no longer have to dig around looking for them. Thank you for the simple efficient idea.

I found these sprinkler mats to be the best thing to keep grass and weeds from growning over the heads and keeping them from not being able to pop up correctly. I highly recommend them. I had no problem at all installing them. I didn't have to trim them at any, all I did was stretch the center hole just a little to get it over the head.

I liked the product. BUT- The holes in the middle are too small. The thickness of it is good. it does keep the grass off the sprinkler head and keeps the head from being buried. Also helps with knowing where the heads are.

We put these around our in-ground sprinklers a little while ago and have since mowed, fertilized, watered and weed-wacked quite a few times with no problem. They weren't too hard to get in. I put in five in about 15 min in the Florida sun. They look nice and there's no more double-guessing where the sprinkler heads are. Love em.

I originally bought 3 to see if they worked with my sprinklers. They work beautifully. I ordered 12 more (miscounted and still need 3 more). Before I put them in, we had 3 sprinkler heads broken in a month. There have been no sprinkler heads broken since, in spite of 4 very active 7 or 8 yr old boys.

We live in a Sun City where the grounds work is done by the community. These little rubber mats for around our irrigation pop-up nozzles and around our trees/mailbox, etc. have worked out great. No trimming necessary because the mowers can get close enough to mow around these.

We used one of these around our light post. We had to dig down because these are so thick, but it was worth it to be able to mow right over it. It looks really great, and we don't have to trim around the light post anymore. We don't use sprinklers, but you can think of so many other ways to use them.

Living in Florida, we have St. Augustine grass that travels in runners and chokes the area where the sprinkler heads come up. I've used the cement rings, but they sit higher than the ground. These new rubber rings sit lower and keeps the weeds and grass from growing over the heads. They are easy to trim around. I love these.

I had a problem with my sprinklers being too high to mow over. These solved that problem by providing a safe zone around the sprinkler heads that I could only otherwise provide by extremely diligent weedwhacking. They are a nice weight and don't lift when the mover goes by or the wind blows.
