I was unsure what exactly to expect when i ordered this. Looking at the picture it looks as if there are stones or stone appearance on this fabric. Which is why i thought this was a great deal. When i opened the package i realized it was just fabric that i could have bought locally for the same or slightly higher cost. it works but just not exactly what i had in mind.

One of my favorite products. I use the brown and even though it is strong enough for rock and gravel, I use it in all paths etc. I use it with bark or wood chips and make an edge with rock, pieces of wood, anything I can find. The best thing I like is that with the brown color if there is a thin spot or water washes some of the material away, the brown color still blends in perfectly. It drains well letting water through, but still is a great weed barrier. Easy to use. Highly recommend.

I used this product to put on my garden walkways, and between my vegetable path's and it works perfect. I read the reviews before I purchased this product and was glad I did. I also thought that rock was attatched to the top of this product. Which wouldn't have worked for me. Great product and great company. I have ordered from you for years and NEVER a problem.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
I purchased this Roc cloth last year to use on the main aisle of my vegetable garden to prevent weeds. I installed it in the spring and by the end of the season, there were several areas where the cloth had completely deteriorated and developed ragged-edged holes. The cloth felt thick and sturdy, so I was very shocked to see this occurring after only a few months. I was willing to pay the much higher cost for something that would last, but this product will not suit my needs.
Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
I use this product under my deck because I don't want to have to mow that area. I already had black cloth down, but that wasn't very efficient because it's too thin and looks untidy. Your product looks very nice, and it's thick enough to keep grass and weeds out for a long time.
Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
I used this material as an undercover for a long path with river pebbles and stepping stones on top. This area had been over-run with weeds each Spring. The material was surprisingly easy to work with and quite strong. I certainly recommend it for ground cover.
Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
This cloth is so much thicker than any other weed control. We not only use it under rocks, which it is wonderful for, but also under anywhere we want to control the abundant weed growth here in Florida. This is one tough cloth and yet water never pools on it. We are surely going to replace all the cheaper versions!
Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
It was as advertised. Installed easily enough and seemed to hold up well when the stones were dumped on it. As to its effectiveness, we will have to wait at least a year to see if it performs as advertised.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
This ground cover works very to keep down the weeds and blend into the environment. However, in the picture is appears to have a stony texture as if small matching gravel is attached to create its texture. When it arrived I didn't feel it looked like the the impression of the picture advertised. It can be a job to cut and lay if you have many curves but with the right tools and help it works well. I was sad to learn it can be bad for the environment. Otherwise, it looks great on the ground and works better than black plastic which is also not environmental friendly. I guess if you are making a pathway by laying stones over it that fact doesn't matter as much. It is great to have the option of different colors too.

I used this under a new edged bed of stones along the foundation of the house . It was easy to apply and drained well after we had 11 inches of rain in 24 hours.

I SEARCHED FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE I FOUND THIS AND AM SO GLAD THAT I DID. NEEDED A FOUR FOOT CIRCLE TO GO AROUND MY TREES AND COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING BIG ENOUGH UNTIL I FOUND THIS. IT IS REALLY EASY TO CUT INTO ANY SHAPE NEEDED.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
We have a drainage problem around one side of our property, which ends up flooding badly if we have one of those Texas drenchers. I used this to cover a drainage "ditch", if you will, around that side of our patio, down the front of the patio and out under the side fence. We hollowed out the path and laid the roc-kloth. We put in a stepping stone path to the gate then filled around them with river rock. Looks good and works great!!

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
Used Roc-Kloth as a base for river pebbles in areas previously covered with mulch. Now my "weed bed" is gone and things only grow where I plant them by making a circle in the Roc-Kloth. It lets water through but no weeds! I'm happy!

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
Used for covering leaded soil in my rented house's backyard. New York City never looked so green and healthy thanks to the cloth under my raised beds. Heavy-duty stuff.
Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
This Roc cloth is on target as an underlayer for stones or (in my case) pine bark nuggets. The red-brown coloring is definite plus, as it will be used in a high traffic area and will minimize any apparent gaps in the nugget mulch from being visible.
Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
I have used this product before, primarily with rock (pebble or pea gravel) and it works well to keep out weeds. Any that do come through are easy enough just to pull out.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
Several years ago we converted a 40' X 40' playground area into a series of L-shaped raised beds with walkways between. We wanted something to put down in the walkways to suppress weeds but that would also be low maintenance. In reading the reviews on this product, it sounded like the perfect solution with or without rocks & gravel.
We covered the walkways with it last summer, securing the edges with both landscape timber used for the raised beds and landscape pins in areas where cut edges overlapped. Other than the occasional weed that sprouts up at the edge where the fabric meets the timber, the walkways are totally weed-free.
We have not covered the cloth with any decorative materials or mulch and this has been a plus. When we weed or harvest, or in between seasons when we till the raised beds, we can easily clean up the walkways by just sweeping them.
I agree that the photos on the website are misleading; suggesting that the stones are imbedded/adherent to the cloth. However, for our use, this product has been fabulous.

I was very satisfied with this product. I wanted to place some 1.5 inch crushed stone under a garage eave and this was the perfect base for this project.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
The Roc-Kloth is misrepresented in the picture. It shows small stones on it as if they came with the product. In fact it is just a shear brown cloth. I bought 3 packages envisioning using this to create a path but that is not what's happening. Looking to return it and will call the company to see what I need to do to make this happen.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
I ordered this based on the picture which showed small rocks on it so I thought the rocks would be attached and it would make a good edge trim along my flower beds. There are no rocks attached so it is really just overpriced weed fabric. I would return it but the postage would be too much. I haven't even bothered to open it because I can buy it for much less at the local home improvement store.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
We have long paths that we used to cover with mulch and/or wood chips. That made great soil, but it was hard to keep them looking good because of the weeds. When we decided to use stones instead, we knew we would need an underlayer, and, as Roc-Kloth is water and air permeable, it was ideal. And the colors blend well.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
This has been a big project because I first had to excavate out 50 years' worth of dirt from between river rocks. I sifted it through hardware cloth to get the larger rocks, sifted it again through screen to separate the smaller rocks and dirt, laid down the Roc-Kloth, securing with landscape staples, and finally replaced the rock. This has been a slow and tedious job, but we have been so pleased with the results that I am ordering more in order to do another section of river rock in my yard. The product is great and the end result is satisfying - it's just the process is tiring and tedious.

I had a 40 sq ft overgrown section of the garden. I ripped up all the weeds and cut the Azaleas way back. We laid the Roc-Kloth down, cutting holes for the Azaleas. We never got to putting rock on it. Then, I left town for 2 months. When I got back, no weeds and the Azaleas are coming back beautifully. I've got more areas like this and will be purchasing more.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
this is always shown turned over - with fine rocks on it - I thought it came that way - this is just expensive ground cloth. Very disappointing. Why does it have the word ROC in the title? then you show it with rocks on it - very misleading.

Comments about Roc-Kloth, 4' x 50':
I am in the process of (single-handedly, yes I know it's insane) re-laying our very ugly, weedy patio -- and I wanted a weed-barrier that wouldn't break the bank, would stand up to concrete and brick and that would do the job. So far, so good! It's easy to lay, seems admirably water-permeable and there's no weeds yet!

I have replaced large mulch beds with Roc-Kloth and river rock. I have also used it between paver sand and the stone pavers to suppress weeds. Areas I completed in March are still free of weeds. I am so impressed with it, that I'm now making river rock and stepping stone pathways through my gardens. I'm on my sixth roll of Roc-Kloth.

I used this under a section of rocks in my backyard. Used less rocks and because of the thickness, I am sure I will have no problems with weeds for quite some time.

This is a good material to use under stones to keep down weed growth. I haven't had weeds as yet, but I have just used it. I expect it will be OK, but it may be too early to tell.

The Roc-Kloth took quite a punishment while I was putting it down. It held up great! My mother-in-law was very pleased with the results. She now has a place she can place her flower pots and enjoy them without worrying about weeding by hand or using chemicals.

We used the Roc-Kloth in our new Japanese Garden under yards of pea gravel. It was very easy to cut and install. We haven't had any problems with weeds. We also recommended Roc-Kloth to our neighbors who have just completed landscaping around their pool. They were also very pleased with this product.

I placed Roc-Kloth under pea gravel in an area that receives water drainage from my patio. This thick, brown material covered existing weeds and has prevented any from popping through. It drains extremely well, even during heavy rains. This product is a winner!

I have a parking space that gets overrun by weeds. I tried other weed barriers, but found myself weeding my parking spot each summer. I ordered this product because it stated that it should be used with stone. I laid it and staked it in about an hour, and covered it with river rock. There is not a weed in sight! Great product!

This product has formed the base for our dry riverbed run-off. It was placed under medium size river rock to form a weed barrier and allow water to run freely through the river rock when it rains. It makes the area easier to maintain as it prevents the growth of vines and weeds from coming up through the river rock. It was very easy to install.

I started a pebble path from one side garden to another and used this under the pebbles. It is fantastic. I should have ordered more, becasue when this ran out, I went to the home improvement store and got a cheaper version. Well, the weeds have already pushed through the cheaper stuff...but not on the Roc-cloth side!!! I plan to re-do everything with this super tough roc-cloth!

I have used the cloth to lay paths between my raised garden plots. Florida has a lot of rain at this time of the year and it creates mud and makes the grass and weeds grow fast. It has eliminated both those problems in my garden area and also looks good.
