It takes a bit of adjustment to get it all in place, but I think the folks who talk about the pieces popping out may have failed to link them as they went along. There is a little hook that needs to be placed into a slot as you move along the installation process. If you do this, there should be no problem with pop-ups. EverEdge site has detailed installation instructions.
Comments about Ever Edge:
This is an excellent quality product that will more than meet most needs. It does take a little patience to assemble together and make fit for curved uses, and on anything but very soft soils you'll need to go back over it a few times to bang it into place. The end result is worth it, as the clean edges really make the difference in appearance and holding mulch in along garden edges.

I used this edging to separate the lawn and a planting bed. What a difference - it really cleans up the line for a more well-kept look. My advice: don't skip the part where you bend the connecting tabs in - it makes a big difference in ease of installation.

We redid our entire front yard and didn't like the quality of the product we used before. We purchased a different one and it broke before we even installed it. We LOVE this one. Very sturdy- pretty much unbreakable.

Comments about Ever Edge:
This Ever Edge is fantastic. I have tried dozens of edging solutions and was always dissapointed that they would break or not go deep enough in our tough turf. It installed easily in our hard clay soil, and keeps a great looking edge. Because you can get it deeper in the ground, you can mow right over the edge and not waste time and string with the weed wacker. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a low profile easy to use STURDY edge.

Comments about Ever Edge:
I thought this would be the solution to keeping the mulch out of my yard and off of my sidewalks, and it does. It makes a beautiful line and keeps things "cleaner". But no matter what we tried, we can't get it all level. Pound one end in, another end pops up. Even working my way across the piece a little at a time didn't solve the problem. For lack of anything else, (and for the price I paid)I'm still using it, but the unevenness bothers me.

Comments about Ever Edge:
This is truly the Mercedes of edging. I've tried many different kinds, and this is truly is built for a lifetime, most effective, and couldn't be easier to apply. Worth the price and the wait (out of stocks are common).

Comments about Ever Edge:
We have clay, rocky soil, difficult to dig, and very difficult to pound edging in. Pound one section, the next one pops up out of the ground, pound that one back in, the next one pops back out. Bent around tree bases, kept coming apart even though link pounded together with rubber hammer. Perhaps it would work better in other types of soil or new landscaping. Very expensive also, it cost more than [$] to ring each tree.
