    I used this mallet to pound bamboo stakes into the ground for use with a trellis - and wow! The mallet is the perfect size and weight for this purpose. I was done in no time. That gave me incentive to put in a small fence to keep animals out of my small flower garden. I couldn't have done it without this great tool.

    I used this mallet to install the pound-in edging. It was super easy! Definitely better than a regular hammer - bigger mallet means more accurate pounding (no pounded fingers). Totally worth the few dollars it cost.

    As recommended, I bought this product specifically to put in some edging that I also bought from this site. It worked very well and was easy to use. It's not too heavy, yet it was strong enough to put in the edging with no problem. Sounds goofy, but it's actually really fun to pound in the edging with this - work out all your stress as you pound away! The hard part is keeping it away from my kids who like to pretend they are Mario from the video games who likes to hammer things.

    What do you say about a rubber mallet? This is sold as a companion product to the Pound In Edging, and I must have pounded in about 400 pieces of this edging over the past year or so. The mallet is lightweight, easy to use, and gets the edging into the ground quickly. It is showing some sign of wear around the edges, but it should be good for a few thousand more applications.

    This is the only tool that works to pound in plastic garden edging. It also works great to pound in wooden or large metal garden stakes. Using a regular hammer just does not work well because of the hammer's small surface area.
