Hung from a tree branch or post, these ceramic feeders are pretty on their own but even more fun to look at when the birds flock to feed.

[...]i bought the set of 2 and i just love them. i bought one for a friend as well. they are larger than i expected; not apple sized. they hold a fair amount of seed and the the birds should be able to easily perch. i have not had experience with them slipping from their hanger as others mentioned.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
I now understand why this was on clearance. One day and the hanger has pulled out of the feeder, and it came crashing down. But they are pretty.

Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
I purchased a set of red and green. [...] Overall size is bigger than expected probably because it is bigger than an average real apple size. It is a good size for my garden, only one bird can eat at a time. I placed it on end of a shrub branch for about a week or so. First dipper was a squirrel with a few birds waiting near the squirrel patiently. Birds were starting to eat from the ground where the squirrel knocked down some food, took a few days to a week to feel comfortable to eat directly from the feeder. I have seen about 7 different types of birds come to the feeder so far and both my 3 yr old and 2 yr old love watching the birds and squirrels's visits. The quality of good for the price, glazing is good, there is a rubber cover/stopper on the top of apple, i wish there is one inside because one of my apple cut out was a little big which might cause the cable end of come off completely. So i use a dab of silicone to cover up the hole. Overall it is a nice product, unique look, great price, works great so far. I hope it will last through harsh winter weather.

Super Cute. Can't be used during wet weather season.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
These apples are a whimsical site hanging from my tree. The red and green are an eyecatcher. Thanks.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
The seed is going down even though I haven't seen any birds at it. I used a small coffee filter to keep seed from exiting the drain holes. My only complaint - I thought the seed would stay dry with the entrance side facing my house, but my original seed was wet (I just put the filter in today, but my original seed was wet).
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
These are much sturdier than I expected, and really look like apples. A very cute addition to my feeding station.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
Although these birdfeeders are small, the birds
really seem to like them. The colors seem to attract all birds and they have actually been bypassing my other feeders to get to these.

Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
It's a cute item, got the set. Had I know this and everything else I was ordering was made in china, I seriously would have reconsidered my entire order. I know we are a nation of import/export, but in this day and age when our economy is suffering, why would most items come from china? is there not one person in the good old USA that makes birdfeeders? so sad.

Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
My niece gave a set of these to me for Christmas. The two red ones have lost the glazing on both the outside and inside of the apple. The one is much worse than the other, this is very disappointing.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
Very nice color, easy to fill.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
I love that there are apples hanging from my Tangelo tree! :-) At first the squirrels were thwarted by the slippery surface of "them apples" but if there happens to be a branch they can hang from (by their toenails) they can manage to reach the opening. Even so I love them (apples and squirrels too!)
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
i will hang these apple birdfeeders on a very strong branch because they are big. the price was right. and they are very glossy. oh yea, because of their size, they made sure that the hanging cord is made of steel. i love, love them so much i am ordering more!
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
These birdfeeders a very attractive hanging at my birdfeeding station. The ceramic feeders are very durable.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
These were the perfect gifts for our teachers, we got them some seed to go with it & they were so excited... They truly looked like large apples, they were so pretty...
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
Easy to use, just hang it and fill with seed.
One of the apples arrived lacking the part that holds the cable in the apple, easily fixed by my husband but may not be for someone without resources. I like the drainage holes in the bottom, the hulls fall through them.

Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
If you need a few extra bird feeders, these are bright and cheerful, easy to fill and keep clean. However, the packaging is not something you want to deal with. They're in those completely environmentally unacceptable compressed blocks of tiny little balls of material that stick to everything. I opened the second one keeping it in a huge plastic bag; it was still difficult.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
These sweet apple-shaped bird feeders are so cute! As soon as I received my first order, I went online to purchase more for future gifts. Solid stainless-steel hanger (will need another hook or chain to catch the loop) supports a beautiful ceramic apple feeder. I'll be trying to catch a photo of a bird sitting in the opening of these attractive feeders. I highly recommend them!
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
I took the previous reviewers warning and fortified the hanging system. I think with a little effort the problem can be solved. Since they were half price it was well worth the effort. They are very attractive and get a lot of comments. The birds took awhile to get use to them. They are an excellent addition to my bird feeding stations.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
These are bird feeders. Dependent upon where hung, maybe squirrels can knock them off and break them.
They do attract smaller birds: nuthatches, chickadees, titmice, finches, esp. goldfinches.

Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
These will be Christmas presents...easy to set up and use, along with a bag of sunflower seeds.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
These feeders are charming and bright. You have to smile just looking at them. Chickadees and Titmice are instantly attracted. I barely have a chance to hang the feeders before they're hopping in and out. It's really a pleasure to see the birds "up close" enjoying these apple feeders.

after only two weeks, discovered one apple had disengaged from hanger and crashed to the patio to break. Wire hanger still up there but device holding it to the apple failed.

Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
Hung one near birdhouse in the yard and one on the patio. To my shock, after only 2 weeks, the apple came crashing down when the bond between the ceramic apple and the hanging device gave away.
Comments about Apple Birdfeeders:
I was pleased by the size of the apple feeders. They are quite big and will hold a lot of seed. We purchased these as teacher gifts for Christmas and can't wait to give them!
