(based on 34 ratings)
Located in: Yard & Landscaping, Backyard Birding, Birdfeeders
The simple appearance of this feeder belies its versatile design. Stacked wire rings hold seed inside and provide a secure grip for clinging birds. Seed ports in base serve perching birds; drainage holes keep seed fresh. Domed top protects seed from rain and snow; it lifts to fill — and latches to keep out squirrels.

  • Attract finches, nuthatches, chickadees and cardinals to your yard
  • Durable and easy to fill
  • Holds 8 cups of seed

    Comments about Gazebo Birdfeeder:

It is an attractive feeder but I was very disappointed with it. Birds do not like it and birds cannot get seed out of it easily even though I changed the type of feed a couple times. Why have a feeder that does not attract any bird.

    Comments about Gazebo Birdfeeder:

The seeds stay in until the birds take them out. Other feeders I've had the birds shake the seeds out all over the ground.
The bird seed stays dry even in the rain and if water does get in the tray there are drain holes to let the water out.

    Comments about Gazebo Birdfeeder:

I purchased this bird feeder to replace one that didn't last a whole season. The construction is great and easy to fill. It isn't squirrel proof, but the larger squirrels can't quite hang on and feed, it's the smaller red ones that can! Otherwise, I have seen a wide range of birds, from finches to cardinals, enjoying the seed thus far. I would purchase this one again!

The small birds love this feeder. We have several different designs and attract a lot of birds during the fall, winter, and spring. The squirrels are frustrated due to the small deck area that they can't sit or stay on.

    Comments about Gazebo Birdfeeder:

I got these on sale from the catalog, as I thought they are very cute and I could always use another bird feeder or two in my back yard. They are cute, and easy to set up, but I've noticed the birds seem to have trouble getting the seed out from between the wires. The big black grackles and starlings like it, so that leaves the smaller birds to eat at the other feeders, so I guess that's a win-win!

    Comments about Gazebo Birdfeeder:

As a Master Naturalist I am an Ornithologist from the word birds. Between my two houses, (urban and rural) I maintain six various feeders at both sites. This is great for the birds that normaly are ground feeders but can get on this one. I've seen Cardinals, Warblers, Towhees, Titmouse and more. Inexpensive, easy to fill and clean but still can't keep Mrs. squirrel from climbing down the wire to have a snack. Don't spend big money on feeders, this is a great one to add to your collection.

I love the looks of this feeder. Had a problem filling it with multi blend birdseed as too much fell through the wire. Added a plastic liner inside and it now works better. The squirrels (we have lots) haven't been able to get to the seed because of the top design.

I feed a large number of birds, some year around. The birds seems to have trouble getting the seeds out of the mesh. One of two feeders came with a loose bottom and the nut to tighten it was striped. I used duct tape to hold it rather than the hassle of returning it.

    Comments about Gazebo Birdfeeder:

The gazebo birdfeeder attracts small birds and is easy to fill, hang. It is great because the squirrels cannot open the top, cannot get to the seed because the perch is not wide enough for them. They can hang upside down and try to get the seed, but most of the time are not lucky in that regard.

The feeder appears to be sturdy but has limited usefulness for seeds than can go in it. Too large and birds won't get it thru wires. Too small and all the seed will fall out so for ex. I can't use thistle, a favorite in my area.

With the insertion of a screen wire cylinder, thiswill also hold thistle seed. As a possible improvement, the base should be made smaller so starlings, grackles, etc. are not able to use it.Possibly a wire circle at it's present diameter that could be clipped off if not needed, added to a smaller catch base (Just an idea).[...]
