I wanted a smaller feeder for the front birch tree by a window on the front of our home, i did not want the conventional type feeder, wanted something a little more decorative. Have alot of ground squirrels and regular squirrels but am using this with Nyjer ( thistle)seed for our finches and it is a great birdfeeder, it took about a week to 10 days for the birds to find it and now they won't leave it alone, and it holds a fair amount of bird seed as well. Will share this one with all my bird friends !!

just as everyone has noted, this bird feeder is very beautiful in the sunlight. i love the way the seed is tucked inside and i am hoping the birds make less of a mess. i've hung mine on the front porch for my cat's viewing! it has withstood the wind so far and i have not had experience with rain just yet, but's it's already protected by the porch overhang.

I just got this bird feeder Saturday. I filled it with black sunflower seeds since we have cardinals in the yard. Within minutes, a squirrel chewed through the rubberized cord that the feeder hangs on, and the whole thing crashed to the ground. Luckily it landed in the bushes and was sturdy enough not to break. It's very pretty; I just wish the cord were a little stronger and more squirrel proof. I'm going to rehang it and try again.

These look beautiful in the yard, unfortunately the birds don't like it. I fill my cylender feeder and the food is gone in a day-the food has been in this feeder for weeks now. But the sun shimmers off the glass and it does dazzle the garden

The appearance is great and that's what attracted me to it to begin with. Also ease of putting together and hanging in my crabapple tree was a snap. It took the birds only a short time to find it and now they flock to it. Very good for smaller birds too.

The blue birdfeeder is decorative and functionally active. it was easy to install and pretty in the sunlight. i keep adding food but do not see birds but the food is gone everyday. Cannot be squirrels as the limb is too thin so i am perplex on why the food is gone..

Drain holes too big and millet falls through. Sunflower seeds get stuck in the holes and then water doesn't drain properly. Friend bought one a year or 2 ago and after I ordered mine, the cable on hers fell apart.

I actually purchased two of these bird feeders as gifts for friends. One of my friends hung her feeder immediately. She said it was gorgeous in the sunlight. Unfortunately, a day later, it was smashed to pieces. A squirrel had also found it attractive and chewed through the hanger.

I haven't had this item long enough to comment on its durability but I am very happy with its appearance. It seems to attract the smaller birds so I wouldn't suggest that it be the only birdfeeder in your yard if you want a variety of birds; but it is a wonderful and attractive addition.

I have it hanging outside my kitchen window. I always have birds in it. I refill it often. I have caught Mr. Squirrel in it a few times (he thinks he's an acrobat) but the birds get most of it. At first no birds used my new feeder. Maybe it was because a bird had caught its leg in the previous one and had died. I paid a lot more money for that one but promptly threw it away when I saw what happened. I will never have to worry about that horrible situation again. After two weeks the birds came back and now I have to fill it once a day. Please be careful of perch birdfeeders and make sure you know their little feet will never get caught.

I have two of these feeders and the birds are in them all the time. They not only come to eat, but I think they like to go for a a little swing too! One of the best bird feeders I've had. And it seems the seed is well contained as well--no mess below. I glued a small piece of screen to hold the seed but allow for drainage--works like a charm!

Aesthetically pleasing, NON PLASTIC feeder - Tired of plastic? A lovely feeder that does indeed sparkle when hit by intense sunlight. My wild birds love this feeder and I think I certainly will buy the (new) yellow one for the backyard. The only drawbacks: (1) The cable needs a "soft sleeve" so it doesn't cut into thin-barked trees; and (2) the seed reservoir is a little small, requiring refilling frequently as the reservoir is only 1/2 cup. And please, more colors! Cobalt blue would be excellent!

I purchased this feeder in the blue and it is absolutely beautiful. After hanging it up the birds were immediately attracted to it and constantly visit it throughout the day. I live in New England and so far it has been great through all the cold weather and snow we have had this winter. The shape makes it really easy to clean and refill. I bought this feeder as a Christmas gift for a fellow bird lover and gardener, so this review cannot attest to its functionality or overall durability since I could not test it out. However, the thick, crackled, golden yellow feeder is so bright that it will have no problem glowing in the sun. Its large size will make it noticeable in the garden and roomy for birds to visit. The price associated with the feeder is very reasonable, too!

This bird feeder is lovely to look at but is glass and had chips right where the birds would land, if they ever get used to it and decide to use it. I chose to overlook the chips rather than sending it back, but so far see no birds getting on it--too unusual for them? Small area for the birds, really, but if you hang it too close to the tree the squirrels get right into the feed.

We love this bird feeder. Calling it the "blue life saver" for obvious reasons, it attracts lots of birds and even an occasional squirrel. We have hung it on our gutter so that we can watch the birds up close. I've purchased one for my parents, mother-in-law and aunt and they all also love it for it's uniqueness.
