I have been very successful with my hummingbirds. My feeder are the cheap glass & plastic type. Just plain sugar water.
I saw this feeder and loved it. I tried coloring the sugar water, special hummingbird necter and even moving the feeder to different locations in the yard. Finally, I gave up and got the old feeder out of the garage. (Thank goodness I didn't throw it away!) The hummingbirds came to the feeder within a half hour.
I tried using this very pretty feeder for 2 years. I have given up and have decided to sell it at my next yardsale.

Where we live in Oregon winters are mild enough that some hummers winter here! IN the summer they feast on our fuschias hanging on our back deck. A frost killed the fuschias a few weeks ago.And so now our little friends have discovered the new feeder and we are delighted!
