I placed the birdfeeder on birdfeeding station from Gardner's Supply (this was a great purchase!). I found it easy to assemble and hang, but filling it on a regular basis became a challenge. When the fall rains arrived, I found that the feeder didn't drain well, resulting in clumped bird seed that the birds avoided. I left the feeder out over the winter (a milder PA winter) and discovered that the feeder cracked by spring. I wasn't able to repair it so I ended up disposing of it. Quite a shame as the feeder added color to the side yard!

I love ceramic feeders because squirrels destroyed every wood or metal feeder I tried, even the so-called squirrel-proof ones. Ceramic feeders don't repel squirrels, but they are not as chewable! This bird feeder is beautiful. I hung it near some orange coleus and it's a great focal point. It is colorful but not so bright that it looks tacky. It's easy to assemble and very well designed. I have another ceramic feeder similar to it, but this one is much better because of the metal "T-bar" that runs horizontally across the top of the container underneath the lid. This keeps the feeder steady and upright when you take off the lid to fill it. Would make a great gift for bird-lovers. It would look nice on a porch as well as in the yard.

I liked the color and the ironwork scrollwork with the feeder. We have a more contemporary looking garden and this fits it well. Hubby likes the purple and the green together in the garden. The only thing that we had a problem with is that his hands were a bit to large to assemble one of the nuts in the feeder. No problem, as I was there to help.

It is so colorful and attractive, especially in a washed-out winter landscape. It still looks brand new. Be careful when unpacking it, though, I almost dropped one piece. Also there are no assembly instructions, but it's pretty simple to figure out. It makes me happy every time I see it.
