Looks nice in the yard amongst the plants.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I was thrilled to see the cattail feeders in your catalog and ordered a set. When placed for use, the stem is extremely flimsy and does not support the weight of the filled compartment. Also the threading to join the two sections is so minimal that mine have come unscrewed with squirrels and larger birds trying to access the seeds. Had to put a larger tube over it to give it support. Major design flaw took attractiveness away, sorry I gave some as gifts and had to send out my own "repair" kits. Embarrassing.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I am always interested in items for the garden which are clean-looking and elegant. I have no use for country kitsch. These are simple and dry the eye easily.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
It was a great gift.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Given as a gift. Very pleased with appearance. Concerned with length of stakes going into the ground - maybe not long enough.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These are absolutely wonderful. They are attractive, decorative and useful. I can't wait to get them into my garden next spring.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Leaves pull loose very easily. One head has all ready popped off.
Squirrel pulled them down somehow and was feasting on the sunflower seeds
For price they were no very sturdy at all
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I love the look of the feeder, but as noted, it is awkward to fill. Aside from that, my biggest issue was that the leaves were not very sturdy and once a squirrel discovered the feeder (inevitably!), he sat on the leaf and it bent. It is only a matter of time before it breaks off from the greedy squirrels. I've stopped putting seed in it (sadly), but it does look lovely in the garden.

use to feed the birds
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These look great and the birds love it. I have watched many birds pecking at the peanuts we put in them: Downy Woodpeckers, Blue Jays, Hairy Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Nuthatches, Rose Breasted Grosbeak.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Stem is poorly designed. Weak connection between top half and bottom half. I use duct tape to attach top half (bird feeder) to tall garden stake. Fill bird feeder with black sunflower seeds. Birds love it.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Awesome accent to your garden and fun to watch the songbirds feed from the cattail feeder. However, they are difficult to fill because the bar inside that holds the lid in place limits the pouring space. I had to invent an attachment for filling the feeder, but using a TP roll and cutting two grooves that match the middle bar. This creates a cylinder pours spaces so the seeds do not fall or jam from hitting the center bar. Seeds do still fall out from the wires as you fill them, there is no way to prevent that fact. Squirrels also can reach up easily to eat from them. They will chew the lower wires and create a larger opening, therefore I have had to patch them a few times. Over all they look great and the birds do love them as do the squirrels!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Like the look of these around my pond, but had to remake them to be able to use thistle seed in to attact the yellow finch. I put a cloth mesh bag insided each cattail so I could use my smaller seeds.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Birds love it, especially goldfinches and cardinals. Best if feeder is tilted slightly, rather than straight up.
Black oil sunflower seeds work best. I cup my hand around opening and pour seeds into feeder from plastic cup. OK if a few seeds fall to ground.
Screw-in base is weak and poorly designed. Thus, I don't use it. Instead, I use duct tape to attach the feeder section to 6-ft green garden stake. Birds prefer taller feeder, and it discourages most squirrels and chipmunks. However, occasional raccoon will bend pole over.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These feeders are really cute, and the birds love them, especially the goldfinches.Unfortunately, they are the right height for raccoons, which bend these feeders over with their weight. Squirrels love these feeders, also.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
This is our second set of feeders. I love the way they look, but unfortunately they are not squirrel-proof or javelina-proof. Our first set had leaves broken off and eventually the top/feeder. Possibly could have sautered but like them so much I merely bought another set.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The three cattails look great under out mulched pine trees and are very attractive both in looks and for the birds
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
They look nice, but they are very hard to fill with bird seed. I had them up for about 24 hrs before the squirrels knocked them over and ate all the bird seed. I don't think you can stop this from happening??? They were also somewhat flimsy near the joint where they had to be screwed together. [*]
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
They look great down by the water!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Attractive along our pond bank, overlooking natural cattails.
Needs drainage holes.
Finish wears off.
Heads and leaves are damaged easily. Raccoons bent the head of one feeder and a couple of leaves were broken off the others.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Very attractive along the bank of our pond, overlooking a grouping of natural cattails.
Not made particularly sturdy. A couple of the feeders sustained damage - bent/broken off leaves at the hands of racoons.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Seems that these attract "other" fans besides birds. Took the cardinals a while to try these out, but the squirrels tested in no time flat. We found these pulled to the ground each morning, only to find out the raccoons had been helping themselves overnight.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Bought these first at a garden supply gift shop as a gift and immediately regretted giving them away. They are charming. I love most everything from Gardener's Supply.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Just overall love how they look so natural in the garden. Love them as I do all the products I have ordered from you.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Love the look in my garden. Easy to set up and refill. Attracts birds and squirrels which I love to photograph. They are not squirrel proof but few things are. Very pleased with the quality and the attractive look.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The overall product was very appealing. The only negative is that it requires the largest sunflower seeds one can find since the mesh screen around cattail is slightly too large to keep smaller sunflower seeds from falling through.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I am anxious to get this out in the yard in the spring. I didn't order them until winter and so can't put them out yet. I love the design and they look realistic.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
We live on the second floor--have a balcony with a flower box and we set these in the flower box. The birds really like them so we can enjoy their feeding.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I purchased three and received a discount. They were for three separate gifts. All three loved the feeder.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Since these arrived in individual boxes, I kept one of the cattail feeders for myself and gave two away as gifts. What a great conversation piece for your yard, garden or pond! The birds love it!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Blends in well for a natural surrounding.

These look great in the garden, but I have yet to find a seed that will work with them.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I put these in amongst my flowers and they look great! The birds have found them too. I thought the metal leaves were slightly flimsy, but otherwise very happy with them. I have been wanting to purchase them for awhile.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
There's a bar under the cap that the cap screws into, leaving very little room to pour seed. Took two of us and a funnel to fill them. I bought average black sunflower seeds and they fall right through. The house finches liked them. Never saw the goldfinches eating from these feeders, but they were empty within a day. Sparrows loved the spilled seed (I'm trying to avoid attracting sparrows). I guess I'll leave them empty until winter when the birds need supplemental food. Wish I'd been smart and bought just one of these instead of the three pack.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I have used these throught the garden as art sculptures. I do not put seed in due to squirrels in the garden. I would love to have some in different heights. I am not concerned whether the finish will be retained as they will loom fine if they rust. [...] -wish the spikes stuck in ground further but they are ok as is.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
We have rec'd numerous compliments on these feeders and the birds love them too!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Using it for decor to add height. They're interesting, charming. Wish the mesh that contains seeds was a little finer; seeds tend to fall through to the ground. Even empty, it pleases me.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Works very nicely as accent while attracting birds for viewing.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I was looking for something interesting and different for a gift from a Master Gardener and found it at Gardener's Supply
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I have a very large perennial garden on a hillside and it's the first thing you see as you drive up the road. The Cattail feeders add to the lay out of the garden.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These are flimsy and have an un-natural appearance. The screen holes are too large and sunflower seeds fall out faster than you can pour them in.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I havent found any sunflower seeds yet that wont fall out of the "caging".
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These are highly visible in the flower beds around the house and are very attractive. The birds seem to like them and so far they have been easy to use.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These are nice looking, attract the goldfinches, and empty quickly. The only problem: the bottom should have small holes to drain the rainwater. It collects and spoils the bottom seeds quickly.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
My squirrels had them destroyed in days....
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I gave these to my son and he loves them. They are in a natural setting and they are charming.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The Cattail feeders look wonderful, and hold mixed seed very well. However, there were rainy days during a week when we were away from home, and we came back to germinated seed in the bottom of the feeder cages. Water was caught in the bottom cup of the cage, unable to drain. We drilled small holes in the cups, enabling drainage, and the feeders have been perfect. Perhaps the manufacturer could drill some holes for us consumers and make their product even better!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
This is my second set, since one of them from the first set broke. But that was after two years of harsh MN weather. I love how they change colors with some "weathering" as well.
One of them in the second set had one area of the screw threading that was stripped, so not sure how long that will hold up. I just didn't want to bother with sending it back, and then not having a complete set.
The birds love them.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The cattail feeders were a gift. They look great and the giftee loves them.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The cattail feeders are very attractive and it
only took the birds a few days to find them.
They are much shorter than I expected and would
have liked the stake to be heavier & taller.
A little pricey.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I like it.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
We thought we had shy birds for a while, but after a couple of weeks we are getting a lot of activity, and no sign of the squirrels sneaking in! And they look so nice next to the bird bath we purchased too.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
First time I have been disappointed in a Gardener's
Supply product. Item was overpriced, tiny and flimsy, small and hard to fill with seed.
[1 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The bird feeders are original and look good on display in the garden, but are a flimsier construct than I anticipated. The grating is also larger than I thought and I have difficulty when adding seed to fill it up before seed falls out the sides. It is also very rainy here and I am concerned that the parts may rust given enough exposure.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These took minutes to set up. I put them in my landscaped area right next the plants. I get so many compliments on them. The trio makes a wonderful set up. You need the three to make it look nice. My front yard is full of birds in the morning and I love it.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I love the way these cattails look. I think they are great for the bird, because they immitate the natural feeding habits.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I WAS HOPING TO USE THESE TO ATTRACT THE GOLD FINCHES AND OTHER SMALL BIRDS. The seeds for these birds fall right out of the feeder because it is small. I have no interest in using sunflower seeds and feeding the crows and squirrels!!!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I bought this for my Mother who lives on a lake. She has flower gardens and likes to attract different kinds of birds. This looks perfect in here garden and the birds seem to love them.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Like others, squirrels ate the seeds and bent the leaves so the paint chipped. Was also hard to keep clean. Solved problem, stuff with dog fur clippings and string for nesting material and the birds are happy and the squirrels can go back to my other feeders.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Love to watch the birds!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I love the way these look with my large metal Great Blue Heron! Haven't tried them with seed yet, but they are easy to fill, and look great even empty!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I have three of the cat tail bird feeders mixed with three of the cat tail solar lights accenting my front walkway mixed in with grasses. I enjoy the birds during the day and the lights when I come home from work at night.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Very popular w/birds as it can be placed anywhere, even in winter and therefore can be seen from any window. Hilarious to watch squillel acrobatics as the stem bobs when they try to eat from it. Asthetically attractive.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The picture of this product is very misleading..not only is the product to flimsy to hold a bird as pictured..the top that holds the seed is no larger than a bird. These problems make this product very over priced!!!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
This was very well made and looks to be durable, and it is, if anything, better looking in person. But.... the seeds come out too easily. Maybe large kernel dried corn, suet and seed would work. I will try to overlap a second mesh to prevent the seed from just pouring out, or will put decorative glass chips or marbles and use it as an ornament only.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These birdfeeders are an excellent buy. They are fairly sturdy, easy to assemble, and really look charming in our snow-covered yard. I've not seen anything else quite like them! They are ideal for sunflower seeds. They are not squirrel proof, but I don't mind feeding those little guys as well during the long Minnesota winters.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I have these placed by my ponds. Not only are they cute additon there but the birds love them also filled with sunflower or saffron seeds. I have tons of compliments on them.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
We got these for my father who has a garden filled with bird feeders. The cattails fit in perfectly with his landscaping and are attractive as well as functional.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Again-does not hold seed-not functional-just an expensive decoration- would NOT BUY again!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Bought three of them for my husband this Christmas. He loves them. The birds love them! Looks great.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Attracts yellow finches, cardinals, and other birds that like sunflower seeds. Hard to fill without spilling some seeds on the ground, but that's OK because it attracts more birds and keeps the squirrels from climbing up. The only real problem I have had was that raccoons unscrewed the top section full of seeds and carried it off! I bought three new ones and plan to use them one-at-a-time.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Birds never had a chance as squirrels empty feeders asap
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
My friend is using it by her lake. I really can't give any more feedback. She did wonder if the squirrels would use it for pole vaulting.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Great gift idea. Unique design offers something for the "birder" that has everything!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
This was a gift and the individual using it is putting it on her deck in a flower pot for now...until the ground thaws a bit at any rate.
She said the opening where you put the food in is a bit of a pain as it has a bar across the top....insteaad of just bein a clear opening.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I bought a set of 3 for a friend as a gift. I wish I had bought a second set for myself after I saw her thrilled reaction to the feeders.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I was a little disappointed because I thought they
were 3 different heights. we gave 2 away, when they
were the same.. maybe list heights of stems??
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
It is a perfect addtion to a new decorative garden
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I have enjoyed watching the Cardinals & BlueJays feed.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I put them in a pot on the deck. The squirrels are the only ones so far that have eaten the sunflower seeds. When the squirrels climbed on the leaves, they bent and caused the paint to chip and peel off.
The are cute but I will be returning them due to the above.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
these are very cute, but the squirrels knock them down and eat the seed. not very practical for the price.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Set off the corner of our pool area, looks great! Wife loves them and I do to.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
really different and interesting gift...was loved
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Love the design, very attractive in the garden. I put three different types of bird seed in them and the birds are flocking to them.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Nice feeders. Attractive in the landscape. Draws several types of birds. Juncos,Chickadees,Sparrows and several more!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The cattail feeders are lovely and sturdy. Haven't studied the usefulness as bird feeders because the ground was frozen when they arrived. Forsee they may be problematic regarding invading squirrels but will be worth it because of the aesthetic appeal. Gave four stars rather than 5 only because I haven't yet observed the bird-appeal.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I bought these as a gift and they were well received. Not sure how durable they are but they look good now. The leaves DO seem a little flimsy so I hope they don't break off.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I saw these cattail bird feeders in a magazine and than I found them on-line at Gardeners Supply. I am so happy I ordered them through Gardeners Supply. I have given all three to family members and they think they are the greatest gift. The cattail bird feeders are easy to fill and easy to clean. Plus you can stick them anywhere in the ground or in pots. I would recommend them to anyone who love watching and feeding birds.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The cattail bird feeders are a Christmas gift,so I can't really tell how they will work. I am pleased with the look of them. It seems as though they will attract the smaller birds and will be easy to fill.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I first saw this at my friend's in Tennessee! She had 2 sets. These were so stunning to her landscape. I was hooked and had to have them!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These are nice thistle feeders, but if you have ingenious squirrels in your garden that won't take no for an answer, they will try anything to shake seeds out. But, they don't have to be used just for thistle! One can put nesting material such as pet hair and small bits of string in there as an attractive way to make these materials available to the birds. It's best to start doing that in late winter/early spring and continue through mid to late summer. Some birds build several nests through the season and may need to add materials as they hatch several clutches of chicks. And these are very pretty to have in the garden near a water feature.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The only problem I had with this product is that black oil sunflower seeds go through the screen. When I fill the feeders a lot of the seeds drop to the ground. I am assuming that this feeder is made for larger sunflower seeds.

They are beautiful! I have them in a garden patch at my summer house (on a lake) and they are truly fine-looking. However, the squirrels knock them over and the 'leaves' are mostly already off because of them. I'm not even filling them anymore, just using them as a decoration.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The design worked in well with the new garden we put in this summer. Not a good experience with the whole Sunflower seeds suggested. The squirrels were all over the cattail feeders in no time. The seeds in the bottom of the holder molded and sprouted. Quite a mess.
We just use them as yard art and not as birdfeeders.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
This was a gift for my sister and brother in law. They love it and my niece said she would like some.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
What a great idea in a feeder. We will put by our pond so the birds can feed, use the bird baths and we can watch and enjoy them. We love anything that attracts all kinds of birds.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Very fine looking and easy to fill/use. The leaves are not attached all that well in my opinion, and it wouldn't surprise me if they come off before long. But they'll still be useable.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I thought these were just the thing, the birds loved it but so did the wildlife. Something got mine and with in a week if getting them, two of them were broken. I thought they were kind of hard to fill and thought they would have been a bit taller.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I LOVE cattails, and this works for me and my very small garden, the birds really like the feeder but I have to admit at the very bottom is left over seed that when it gets wet is pretty gross. Otherwize it's a winner
[1 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
While very attractive, the feeders are not really tall enough. The screening to hold the seeds is rather large allowing them to fall out. They are most definately NOT chipmunk proof-the birds have not had a chance. They are now scuplture rather then feeder

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I really like the way these look, so I immediately purchased some sunflower seed to attract cardinals and other bigger birds. I haven't seen a bird use it yet. I've had them in the ground for weeks, but the birds haven't found them yet. They are really cute, but pricey.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Like to use items in my yard you do not see everywhere I shop special stores in my area and your catalog
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
This feeder is really pretty, easy to set up and easy to fill. The top seems pretty squirrel proof, but the chipmunks always manage to empty the feeder rapidly. It isn't easy to clean-the seeds left at the bottom don't always come out easily and when filling, there is a lot of waste with the seeds falling out of the holes and creates a mess on the ground

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I love the cattail feeders and so do the birds, I can sit for hours and watch them. And as an added bonus I have sunflowers growing from the seeds that my messy little critters spill out. I have given two sets as gifts to my bird-watching friends.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Dad has put bird seed on the kitchen windowsill for years. The nearby tree died and was removed, so the birds didn't have a place to perch. The Cattails were bought so the birds wold have a place to perch and feel safe before sweeping onto the windowsill. Working nicely, thank you all!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I love the look and the concept, but the fact that the stem is in two peices (for shipping ease) makes it vulnerable to raccoons. My raccoons took them apart.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
One of the cattails broke after 1 week. The things are pretty cheaply made and look neat, but the quality of the screw together poles needs to be addressed. It needs to just have a single pole for durability sake!
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
We just put in a pond and waterfall and this adorable bird feeder fits right in with the new landscaping around the water.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I bought the set for a friend's birthday. She raved about them. She loves fixing up her garden. Drawing the birds outside is very entertaining for her indoor kitties.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Not so hot; the leaves are flimsy; the screen that holds the seed is the wrong size; either the seed falls out or the seed is too big and the birds can't get it out; probably should have a smaller mesh.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I have these under a large tree in the front of my house and they look great. The birds love them.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
These seed holders are so cute. My only problem is I have a ton of squirrels in my area and I have yet to find a way to combat the cute little critters from eating the bird food.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Its pretty and a great idea. but not as practical as i had thought.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
It adds interest to my flower beds, so I am rating it more for that than for its functionality.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
The Birds Just Love These Feeders! They attract all kinds of birds and they love to cling to them. Then off they fly to a nearby branch to eat their treat and then back for more. Lots of fun to watch.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
Sunflower seeds fall right out. We tried peanuts which seemed to work but the racoons like them too. They took the cage top off of one of them and carried it away. They also bent up the leaves.

Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
I have actually ordered these twice as i really like the way they look and needed to replace one as the top broke off completely. Leaves all crack when trying to bend them it shape. Will not buy them again.
Comments about Cattail Feeders, Set of 3:
We live in a multi-level house and are afforded amazingly satisfying views of birds (and squirrels!) through our windows as they feed from these decorative feeders, less than a foot away!
The only negative is that squirrels will hang onto the feeder cages and, eventually, their weight can snap the heads right off. It would take a long time, but if you've got a spot welder, then you're in business for ever.
Worth everything for its beauty, functionality and landscaping design. We really love them.

I have these in my garden amongst my flowers. I can see them from the window in the house and they look so attractive. They add a very nice touch to the garden and I am anxious to see them this winter.

This product was a gift for a friend and she really likes them. The only issue is the difficulty filling them. The entire cap should be threaded, but instead there is a cross beam that goes across the top of the cattail's body for a stud in the top to thread into. This makes filling them a slow process. I fashioned a funnel to make it a little easier, but if you have to fill them everyday like she does it's a bit of a hassle.

These were great until the animals attacked them at night--either raccoons or opossums. They bent them all trying to get the seed out--and the stemns broke off of them. It was a shame as the woodpeckers and chickadees loved eating from them. If these were made with more heavy duty, very sturdy stems I would definitely buy them again. If you don't have animals prowling at night these are nice.
